  1. Excellent work, looks fantastic. Those scenic pics are beautiful, very atmospheric. Stuart
  2. With the paint going on, everything is being tied together and is looking great. Glad to see that I'm not the only one that starts a build and haven't checked that I have enough of everything to finish the damn thing. Stuart
  3. Wonderful start Bertie. Definitely doing the wheels first was a good idea and like you, I was drawn to the WW1 option because of the wheels and the camo and also drawn to the WW2 option because of the open top. Choices, choices... Stuart
  4. Interior is looking great, right amount of weathering...less is good. You can always make your own with proper chain, like they use in ship builds...just sayin'. Stuart
  5. 'tis but a flesh wound, nothing that a bit of plasticard can't fix. Chassis looking good and everything looks like it's on the ground. Stuart
  6. Interesting watching your build process Jeff, good work. Stuart
  7. And still you're modelling rate hasn't gone up See Rob @robgizlu, I'm not the only one...listen to us man Stuart
  8. Wings are looking great but the fuselage looks fabulous. Stuart
  9. Yes, I remember the conversation about the Heston & the 209 but unfortunately the faces become blurred after many faces. Thanks for your kind words about the models and the stand, glad we're doing something right. Yes, I managed to get round SMW, mainly on the Sunday though. As for 'Mr Awesome', it's got character and I'm having to work at it but not as much as that all-metal F6C. Stuart
  10. Looking nice and busy. Like the added touches of missing panels & empty stowage's. Fitting snow chains to your tyres will be the 'ace in the hole'.... Stuart
  11. I have a Beaverette too but in 1/72, think it has less parts than yours! Will be interesting to see if you solder or CA those large PE seams... Stuart
  12. Sweet. It may have been by the '190' but you can't help but notice the lines of a Mustang...with a Fw canopy. I do agree that the Planet parts are SOLID, my Saunders Roe will testify. All that aside, will be interesting to see how this builds. Stuart
  13. With social life and SMW out of the way, it's back to Awesome... Wings go on. Wing roots need sorting but nothing to worry about though. A new backplate was made out of plasticard and a metal shank fitted. The kit spinner was glued to the backplate to keep the length correct and plasticard fillets were glued to the kit spinner to take up space and keep some sort of profile before lathering on some filler. When sanding was required, the drill was clamped to the bench and fired-up... If this spinner is a fail, then I'll have to produce a 3D image and get a club member to print it, we'll see. Stuart
  14. Sorry for the lack of progress but life and SMW had taken over. Back now. New I'd missed something off my SMW shopping list...decal sheet for laser printer, easy enough to get a hold of. Producing the decal shouldn't be a problem (famous last words) if I use white. Anyways... Everything has a coat of AK's Khaki Green No.3 Stuart
