Tan seems to be the new base colour for the French best match (as advised by Oliver Carneau) is Tamiya XF 92 Yellow Brown (DAK-1941).

Casey provided me with some viable options to mix BS 217 Sea green and all I was able to get were the Tamiya Lacquers which Casey listed as 'pretty good', all I can say is if this is pretty good then very good must be exceptional, mixed these today and just wow. Casey you are a magician. Thanks

Casey, Thanks for the information, Can easily pick up the Liquitex Basic and the Tamiya Lacquers easily here in NZ, the Golden Fluid seems a bit difficult but this is greatly apperciate. David

Have tried C135 but it doesn't contrast with NATO Green in a similar fashion to the photo, but thanks.

Thanks again to all, I think I may have found something it is modo NEO Military Arms Color Lacquer Paint M-522 Emerald Green, made in Taiwan and it seems to come close to what I am after. Cheers Sorry

Taiwanese CM-34 Clouded Leopard, light green colour match
demiles replied to demiles's topic in AFV Modern
Thanks for the reply, read through the attached thread and realised that it has been almost 2 years of p*ssing about with the colour as suggested in the other thread I might just get a bottle of the Modo M-522 just to add to my growing collection of odd shades of green. -
Dose anyone have any suggestion with regards to a match for the light green on this vehicle? AFV Club list it as Russian Green (1) and list it as LifeColor UA 258 4BO Flashed shade, but I feel the colour is to dark and not green enough, I next looked at Vallejo Eau de Nil but this was to light and not green enough I have tried matching it for over 12 months and the closet I have got is Citadel Nurling Green, any suggestion will be gratefully appreciated. Thanks

Thanks for all the great information. AFV Club list the paint as Russian Green(1) but what is this colour? It turns out to be a very sickly pale green. This isn't an Federal Standard colour but the closet I could get to was 34524 but it is to light and not green enough. The reason I have placed it on the aircraft forum listed as Sea Green is that I have been looking into this colour for well over 12 months and the closet match I got was BSC381C 216 Eau de Nil however this was to light and somehow I bumped into some discussion on cockpit colours for Spitfires which seem to be either Apple Green or Sea Green, the later look like a better match for my colour and as I'm not and aircraft guy I thought I would asks the Boffins here, as I am somewhat stumped. Troy, thanks, not a lecture but good info, the other three colours are the standard NATO cam colours and have for sometime suspected that the colour is something the Taiwanese just use.

Thanks for the reply, using it as part of the unusual cam on a Taiwanese CM-34 Clouded Leopard, it is the light green below.

I'm an armour modeller but need help with what I believe is an aircraft colour. Can anyone advise me on a manufacture of BS 217 Sea Green, a good substitute or provide a mix ratio for this colour. Thanks
-
Can you give some info on the conversion, maker and how to obtain one? Thanks

Hi have this kit in the stack and have been angst over the colours for ages and have up with the following: Leather Brown is listed as FS 30051 and is NATO Brown as above XF 68 or Lifecolor UA302 I am favouring XF 68 Bronze Green is listed as FS34094 and is NATO Green XF 67 Tar Black is listed as FS37030 and is NATO Black XF 69 Russian Green (1) which is the one you are most likely after. This is a tough colour but I have figured it is close to lifecolor UA258 4BO flashed shade which is somewhat difficult to get therefore I am split between Vallejo Model Air 71.009 Eau de Nil, Mig A.Mig 0935 Russian Shine and Citadel Nurgling Green and slightly favouring Eau de Nil. hope this helps

You could email this place (12th/16th Hunter River Lancers and 24th Lighthorse Memorial Museum) and see if they can give better info, there doesn't seem to be a great deal otherwise https://aumuseums.com/nsw/northern-rivers/12th16th-hunter-river-lancers-and-24th-lighthorse-memorial-museum [email protected] good luck

1/35 M113A1 pre T50 Turret - Long Tan version
demiles replied to Peter Browne's topic in AFV Cold War
Hi again Peter, Checked my Firestorm version of the shielded M113 and found that the air filter unit and hatch were about 1mm to narrow length wise width seemed ok therefore suggest sticking with AFV club kit and use the hatch and filter unit from that, otherwise get hold of an academy kit as it is better than the tamiya version. Unfortunately there are none, all were discontinued years ago, much to my annoyance.
