  1. Can you let us know how you achieved this as the link I posted three years ago is dead. Cheers
  2. So, I just looked your kit up and it comes with the droid, also noted it only has the commanders hatch therefore I stick with the droid, I recently got the 4M with trophy kit and really impressed, €35 and a bit These links will provide a guide to the wiring of the droid: http://www-legend.co.kr/portfolio/lf1337-idf-droid-atmd-set-iii/ http://www-legend.co.kr/portfolio/lf1336-idf-droid-atmd-set-ii/ http://www-legend.co.kr/portfolio/lf1329-idf-droid-atmd-set/ Barrel try to find the Magic Models one. these systems as with most IDF stuff will remain a mystery.
  3. What Merkava kit do you have? I may not be right but as I understand it, it would be either droid or trophy as they are somewhat similar but trophy is better. For the barrel need to know what brand the ebay barrel is, but Magic Models MM35172 is for meng After market ball and chain all the time.

  6. while it is forty bucks for the paint it is quite accurate as SMS is an Australian company, i have the green and brown for my M113AS4 and I am happy with the match but otherwise good luck with the Aust colours 20 years in the Aust military and vehicles up the ying yang but it was still difficult to match, for the brown do not use Vallejo Iraqi Sand to light and to yellow try model masters 1742 dark tan with about 10-15% 1735 wood worked well to my eye, but for the green first off do not use FS34102 this is not even close, you could try mixing Tamiya XF-62:3 + XF-52:3 + XF-2:1 or maybe Vallejo 70.968-83 there is an AK interactive set but I have been advised it is poo-poo so avoid just found this.... get it, it is a fantastic match and a whole $1.99 from Florida https://www.ebay.com/itm/French-Artillery-Green-179-Humbrol-Enamel-Paint-Plastic-MODEL-1-2oz-14ml-NOS-/192886514483

  10. Barrels nil LionMarc did one sometime ago but it is now out of production. I recently completed the trumpeter offering a combination of the op telec and base Challenger 2 kit and have now got the RFM kit and I have to say first glance this looks like a very good kit.

  12. Green Stuff World make a range of colour shift paints that work really well, time consuming as you have to apply one thin layer at a time but the result is fantastic. link of on type http://www.greenstuffworld.com/en/chameleon-acrylic-paints/736-chameleon-colorshift-evil-forest-paint.html link to all http://www.greenstuffworld.com/en/153-chameleon-acrylic-paints
  13. as mentioned using plastic card with the following measurements: skirt 1: height: 8mm high at fore, 12mm high at mid-point, 10mm at aft length: 45mm total length long, 22mm forward edge to mid-point skirt 2: height: 10mm at fore, 13mm at mid-pint, 10mm at aft length: 54.5mm long, 27mm to mid-point (from fore) skirt 3: same measurements as skirt 2 skirt 4: height: 10mm at fore, 13mm at mid point, 4mm at aft length: 52.5mm long, 26mm to mid-point (from fore)
  14. I am currently building the Xact Scale T-80U and I have to say that the detail is quite good but there are some quirks to the build (such as no pins to mount the wheels and the front mud flap is a bit fiddly) but nothing that can’t be over-come and I have set myself a bit of a challenge in building a South Korean version, the tracks were fun having to fit two track pads to each individual link and I am about to start on the rather jerry built turret baskets. But having said that the Xact kit is difficult to find, therefore the only real choices at present are the RPG and Trumpeter kits. So back to your requirements, quality of surface detail and how easy the kit goes together; are mutually exclusive with these kits, for instance the Trumpeter kit lacks the very prominent turret wiring (however this is not a big fix issue, a bit of fuse wire and a drill) but the RPG kit has a lot of smaller photo etch parts. The RPG kit has individual links that look like a snap to put together while the Trumpeter has individual links but having attempted to put Trumpeter links together in the past, I automatically purchase a set of Fruilmodel or similar. And I love the look of the rubber work for the mud and track guards that RPG provide. To help you make a better-informed decision, view what you are going to get (such as the parts) and evaluate the ease of construction plus level of detail kits see the following: RPG (after loading hit the List All Images) https://www.1999.co.jp/eng/image/10559376/10/1 Trumpeter https://www.1999.co.jp/eng/image/10549106 I think either kit would be good but personally I am going to purchase the RPG kit because I think it is the better of the two but this is not to say that the Trumpeter kit is bad, to me it’s just not as good, however you should choose which to get in line with what you think is better. Hope this helps
