Hi Folks
Time to pick the collective brain again my Arfix 1/72 Lancaster is near to the camo painting stage so my question is is there a way to scale up the Airfix painting sheet to match the actual kit size so I can cut out the shapes to use as a mask ?
If there is some formula can you keep it simple please as I am a bit .
Thanks B
Looking forward to the end result I am getting near to finishing mine I planned to put the rockets on mine too, Typhoon gotta have rockets, but when I went to fit the rails I realised I hadn't drilled the holes in the wings before gluing them together. Doh !
Guys thanks for all the replies looks like it isn't just me after all I will try some of the suggestions give it another go but maybe just need to forget the Humbrol
all together

Hi Folks
Is it just me or does anyone else have problems airbrushing Humbrol acrylic paints. I am new to airbrushing so though is was me
but if I use Tamiya paints I get decent results (for me at least). I have tried different mixes of paint and thinner but it either gets gloopy and blocks the brush or when I spray it it pools watery on the plastic I have used Humbrols own thinner so that should not be the problem
I build mostly Airfix kits so I would like to have stuck with Humbrol paints but think I might need to switch to Tamiya. I had a very basic single action starter airbrush kit but I even upgraded my airbrush to a dual action brush for more control but still the same results. I hand paint my cockpits which i am pleased with but then when i cant get the finish on the outside i want it is very frustrating
Any suggestions ?
Thanks Bikkit
I see the real thing flying around locally all the time and have always wanted to build a model of it so hoping
watching you build yours inspires me to finally go for it although I don't think it would look as brilliant as your does
