  1. Must have seen the smoke from the engines on the boxart and jumped to conclusions. They will probably also target MiGs and Sukhois for the same reason.
  2. Eduard is much better at keeping secrets secret than Airfix - that`s for sure.
  3. I would rather think of the Polikarpov I-15 Chato as the flat nose - and the right size for Eduard kits in both 1/72 and 1/48 scale. And with the option of a large number of variants possible with Russian, Finish, Chinese and Spanish civil war markings. Only competition being ICM kits, so there is room for another series of I-15/153 kits. I think Eduard will leave the Hurricanes to their friends in Arma - maybe doing a few boxings for them,
  4. There is probably a market for the Mig-25 P of Viktor Belenko in Japan - for the rest of us, it is just another defection story. Back to the MiG 23/27 family; it is really large and diverse - even more than the MiG 25s.
  5. Are you thinking of Clear Prop or Modelsvit - the link is for a Clear Prop planned release? Regardless, I am happy to see an extended family of MiG 23/27s from ICM, they will have to make some clever designing to get all the variants.
  6. Hannants has sold out the first production run, so there is certainly a demand for little known aesthetically challenged aircraft in 1/72.
  7. The kits I have from them, reminds me of Sword plastic - it is easy to work with and holds the details pretty well.
  8. Kora is about to release an 1/72 Rikugun Ki-93 limited run injection moulded kit in four versions. The prototype which flew once and three what-if or Japan-46 versions. Complete plastic kit from new moulds with clear canopy and decals retailing at 66€ for a twin-engined fighter.
  9. In my opinion; AZ/KP quality is rather uneven, some kits are well detailed and easy to build, while others are devoid of details and badly moulded. Merlin quality was consistently going downhill over the years - but their Cierva C.30 was decent.
  10. Mine have also arrived (SAS and Spantax), the eBay seller had repackaged them into a stronger cardboard box with the original rather flimsy boxes at the bottom, so everything arrived in good shape. Initial impressions match what David H writes above, detailed and well moulded kits of a true narrow-body. I might want to replace the SAS decals if LN-decals becomes available.
  11. It is quite pricy - costing more than the C-130 kit that I want to have it tow...
  12. Maybe Arma can scale up their Hurricane series to 1/48
  13. We were at least talking about another twin engine prop feeder liner. I hope A&A Models 1/72nd Beechcraft 200 Super King Air kit sells well, so they release more versions of the Beechcraft and other similar aircraft. The list of air forces and government agencies operating the Super King Air is long and with some interesting colour schemes. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Beechcraft_King_Air_operators In Norway, they are best known as the air ambulance - picture by Teemu Pesonen
  14. There are (to me) good looking resin kits of the La 9 and La 11 from Steelworks. They seem to go out of stock quite quickly, so there must be others who like the late Lavochins. I spoke with a Norwegian warbird pilot who had flown one of these aircraft at Duxford, and he truly enjoyed it. Steelworks site: http://www.steelwork-models.de Steelworks shop https://shop.strato.de/epages/61299018.sf/de_DE/?ObjectPath=/Shops/61299018/Products/SK7215 The Steelworks site is in German, but the owner replies to Emails in English - I read German reasonably well, but struggle with writing it correctly. Nicht auf Lager - means "not in stock" - it has nothing to do with beer... Kontakt - contact details
  15. Airfix went to Flysamlingen, Gardermoen to measure up the F.III there - so the kit should match a Norwegian machine.
  16. I think it would have been easier for US citizens to understand if they called it "Users in Europe and the Americas". A few years ago, one of my crew members complained about being the only American on the vessel - he did not see it the same way as I did when I pointed to the fact that besides this Texan, we had two Brazilians, five mainland Canadians and seven Newfies among us. Many US citizens refer to the USA as America, if they are to refer to both USA and the other states on the continent, the expression is "Americas"
  17. Takom continues to surprise us with its choice of subjects. 1:350 Zeppelins; the P and Q class becomes half a meter long in that scale - in the same scale as many WW1 ship kits. The Q-class is of interest to me as L-20 drifted ashore in Norway and some bits and pieces are on show in the museum at Stavanger-Sola.
  18. K in the German WW2 phonetic alphabet should be Konrad A – Anton Ä – Ärger B – Berta C – Caesar Ch (arlotte) D – Dora E – Emil F – Friedrich G – Gustav H – Heinrich I – Ida J – Julius K – Konrad L – Ludwig M – Martha N – Nordpol O – Otto Ö – Ödipus P – Paula Q – Quelle R – Richard S – Siegfried T – Theodor U – Ulrich Ü – Übel V – Viktor W – Wilhelm X – Xanthippe Y – Ypsilon Z - Zeppelin
  19. Six boxings are planned: PE4401 Bell H-13J/HUL-1 (US VIP Transport, US Navy, US Coast Guard)(2in1) PE4402 Agusta-Bell 47J Ranger (Italian Navy, Italian Army, Italian Police)(2in1) PE4403 Agusta-Bell 47J Super Ranger (Carabinieri, Italian SAR, Italian AF) (2in1) PE4404 Agusta-Bell 47J Ranger (France, UK, Spain)(2in1) PE4405 Bell H-13J-2 (Brazil, Chile, Argentina)(2in1) PE4406 Agusta-Bell 47J Ranger (Yugoslavian AF, RDAF, RNoAF)(2in1) https://www.lfmodels.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=2_26_115
  20. After LF Models successfully scaled up their injection moulded Augusta-Bell 47J family from 1/72 to 1/48, is the intention now to scale them down to 1/144
  21. The market changed, when I began buying from Squadron, there were no proper web shops, or eBay but they sent their catalogue and monthly supplements in the post to me. And there were American kits from Revell, Monogram and Academy that were hard to find in Europe. Now I can order kits from new companies in Central and Eastern Europe as well as China via eBay or web shops in those countries with cheaper and faster postage long before they are in stock in the USA. They will struggle to make Squadron great again....
  22. I would like to see one in Draken colours They are one of the main Mirage F.1 users at the moment - https://theaviationist.com/2021/05/25/draken-mirage-f1-crash/
  23. A better chance to see one in 1:72 scale from one of the Polish producers - we might even get it injection moulded,
