Thanks guys philtn - I first sprayed the model black, then masked the upper part and basically kind of preshaded the lower hull. Upper hull was weathered using dry pastels of various shades of grey, grounded to powder and applied in streaks to the hull. Also some brown pigment was applied on several spots to break the monotony.

After a few years, I've visited Axalp again. If you haven't heard of it before, it is a Swiss Air Force shooting range up in the mountains near Brienz. We were quite unfortunate with the weather this year, both airshow days being cancelled, but I've nonetheless managed to get a few shots. Here's my first gallery - Eurocopter EC-635. I'm in with Special Hobby AH-1G and Fujimi A-6A... I doubt the time will permit, but F-4B VF-84 and F-105D are the other options... All in 1:72 of course
