  1. Thanks, I've used bluetac in the past but find it gets stuck in there. I'll try Klear a go
  2. Whats the best way to temporarily glue parts in place. I've painted some wheel wells and want to now paint the rest of the aircraft with the undercarriage doors in the up position to act as a mask. Whats the best glue to use which won't damage the paint under it? Cheers!
  3. I need to know this too for my F22 Spitfire I'm building at the mo. Thanks
  4. May well of stuck them on the wrong side, I'l see if I can prise them off. I flew on this one when I went to Aus in October (Paul McGuniess) that was afew weeks before they got grounded. Thanks for the tips on adding Flickr Images.
  5. I think if you speak to Airbus they do a 1:1 kit; it's pretty expensive tho, and really complicated to build.
  6. Just finished building this. Its rather large and I think it'll have to live in a box in the loft which is a shame. 1/72 Hawk to show the size Hope you like, I need to build a stand for it. I did it wheels up as theres about 16 of them (couldn't be bothered with painting them all) and a problem with the lenght of 2 of the undercarrage legs apparently. I also need to learn how to mask the joins better.
  7. I think that'll be the best way. I've got some white plastic primer so will see what thats like. Can anybody help with the wing colour. The two colours I need are Xtracolour X331 Airbus Grey And Xtracolour X359 CorroGuard I've looked on a conversion chart and couldn't see them. Ideally I'd want an Tamiya or Vellejo Model air Equilivant.
  8. Thanks Everyone I thought heat would be the answer, But wouldn't of thought of using hot water. I have a Tamiya Scriber so I'll give that a go. I;m only going to be doing very simple stuff to start with. Any suggested suppliers? I got 3 sheets from Ebay for afew quid to start me off.
  9. I've not used this before and Im planning on doing abit of scrachbuilding/modification to my current build Are there any guides out there. I'm intrested in putting curves and bends into it aswell as the best way of cutting it ect. Thanks
  10. Just came in to looking for info on building this. So thats two Neil's building! I got some Quantas Decals, as I was luckly enought to fly on the beast back in October, Afew weeks before the engine blew up. I flew on the one called Phil McGuniess so I'll be building that one. http://www.flickr.com/photos/neilwhite22/5...57624892785673/ As its a nice big model I thought I'd have a go and modifying it. Not in a major way, I've opened the cargo bay door. I'm going to build a floor out of plasticard, which arrived this morning. I hate painting white, Whats the best primer and paint to use on this? I've not done an airliner before. Don't fancy doing the whole thing with the airbrush as it'll take too long. Cheers!

Can somebody tell be a bit more about this Sea King http://www.royalnavy.mod.uk/operations-and.../imageIndex/42/ I've got an Airfix 1/72 kit. And want to do a scheme that'll will help me learn some new air bursh skills. Not bothered if the airfix kit is the wrong mk of anything. Is there a decal kit out there, if not I could probably find some suitable ones from my stash.
  14. Awesome. Theres a Modelzone is Southampton. I didn't know that! Will this fit the Revell kit? http://www.hannants.co.uk/search/?FULL=EDFE291
  15. Its OOB. I saw the LGB's in the box and knew straight away they where going on there. They add a nice bit of colour and look mean. I've got 2 mini projects to finish (1/72 M1A2 tank, and 1/72 2009 RAF Display Hawk (union Jack one) Then I'm going to do a Revell 1/48 Harrier to go with the Typhoon.
