I just put a simple matt coat on -
For a snap kit this is incredibly detailed and IMO the best kit available at the mall moment Entirely brush painted

I see where your coming from and the idea behind this was that it had been hastily painted in the field with a white wash as many were and I agree it could be used for both finishes This was a simple job , I first painted the base as it would have looked then I gave it a watered down coat of white matt then I just dry brushed it in streaks of white matt to give an uneven look I hope this helps you out

Dragon 1/16 Schutz ( Kampfgruppe Hansen 1944 )
Alan 47 replied to Alan 47's topic in Figure Ready for Inspection
Cheers Mick I never new that I thought it was just a figure , on the pistol I thought it was the FB Vis P35p the polish hand gun the Germans aquiered when they took Poland but it could be either as both were based on the Browning only the P35 was a good weapon Thanks for the info -

Nice kit this although for all the detail it's missing straps , that gas mask canister must be held on by Velcro I hope you like it and comments welcome -
Revell 1/6 Cylon Centurion
Alan 47 replied to Alan 47's topic in Ready for Inspection - SF & RealSpace
Cheers Chris, yeah this is the revell release but it's the same kit as the moebius release -
This is the rebox of the moebius kit I used some black oil paint to create some shadow so I could bring the detail out

Mine went together fine Wayne, I never had any fit problems but I have read about others have it could be a storage problem , I've had kits that have been terrible but people who built the same kit say there's was ok -

Cheers Andy I appreciate it I agree for the general model builder like myself these are great to just do what you want , I have built a razorback and put WWII British markings on it -
Moebius 1/32 cylon raider
Alan 47 replied to Alan 47's topic in Ready for Inspection - SF & RealSpace
Cheers mate I appreciate it I painted it last , I just used a very thin brush to paint it dark grey then I added the red eye with just a tiny bit on the tip of the brush , it's best to use a brush that has a point I used a humbrol number one its a pretty rubbish brush but it's good for things like this I hope this helps you out -

Warhammer 40k Stormtalon gunship
Alan 47 replied to Alan 47's topic in Ready for Inspection - SF & RealSpace
Thanks for the compliment I appreciate it You wouldn't have any problem doing this it's very basic brush painting All I did was paint it in two coats of thunder hawk blue then a dry brush of fenrisian grey on the edges and corners followed buy a streaks of reikland flesh shade and while that is still wet you wipe it with a clean dry brush to fade it in to the base coat Panel lines are pin washed with nulin oil wash That's it with drying time it took two days Very simple but effective and something anyone can do -
Very good kit this is with no problems at all I hope you like it and comments welcome

Moebius 1/350 colonial one
Alan 47 replied to Alan 47's topic in Ready for Inspection - SF & RealSpace
Cheers guys I appreciate it It does baffle me how they can't get the decals to fit and on this kit they're not just out by a bit they are out by about 2/3mm so that's not terrible for a kit maker as moebius
