  1. Nice work. It looks aggressive and ready to go. Thanks for sharing Kevin
  2. Lovely work, excellent details and a super paint job. Thanks for sharing Kevin
  3. Wow that's fantastic. I'll certainly be looking out for it at SMW, to see this brilliant diorama in the flesh. Inspiring work, and another goal for me to aim for in my builds, though I don't think I will ever achieve this supreme standard. Thanks for sharing Kevin
  4. Hi All, Looking forward to the show. Will be my first time at this venue, but judging by the comments I'm in for a great time. Cheers Kevin
  5. Hi John, I'm late to the party, but I love what you have done so far and with some great hints and tips. I'll pull up a chair if I may to get the full benefit. Nice work. Thanks for sharing Kevin
  6. Hi, Welcome aboard. That is a nice looking Walrus you have done. Look forward to seeing more of your builds. Kevin
  7. Very nice work indeed! Wonderfully finished and everything a Viggen should be. Love the relaxed pilot figure nonchalantly posed in the cockpit. Keep posting, what you do is great. Thanks for sharing Kevin
  8. Hi Bjorn, That is just stupendous! I built the old Heller offering in 1/72 in the same camouflage scheme many years ago. It falls way short of your model. Your painting is super and the weathering sublime. Are they still available? Your model has rekindled an interest in me and to a better scale for me now. Thanks for sharing, well done. Kevin
  9. That is a superb piece of modelling. The amount of extra work involved is phenomenal. The pictures of the completed model on the tarmac base shows it off really well. Thanks for sharing Kevin
  10. Well worth the wait I'd say. It looks stunning. Thanks for sharing Kevin
  11. Hi Jon, It looks even better up close. Simply stunning. Thanks for bringing it to the club. Kevin
  12. Nice work, really striking scheme. Thanks for sharing Kevin
  13. Hi Jon, I'll make sure I'm there.......... What hidden gem will you bring out of your sleeve at the meeting? Intriguing words of temptation. Kevin
  14. Hi Jon, Wow that's superb. I always love to see your scratchbuilt biplanes. So unique looking. Your build skills are exceptional, and the paint finish excellent. Hope to see it up close soon. Thanks for sharing Kevin
  15. Never mind, they still are good looking models. I am sure that you will be able to get the right size for future posts. Thanks for sharing Kevin
  16. Now that is a great looking model. Love the exquisite finish and the figure to set the scene and give a sense of scale. Lovely stuff. Thanks for sharing Kevin
  17. Very nice indeed. Thanks for sharing Kevin
  18. Hi Mark, It looks brilliant work so far. Nice to see and hear your approach in the cockpit. It will look even better when it's fully dressed with the seat belts. What paints are you using? Thanks for sharing Kevin
  19. Hi Mark, That is something I am really interested in, and I have one in the stash. So, I am booking my seat in the Mark.au theatre to be enthralled and educated on this build. Thanks for sharing Kevin
  20. Hi All, Apologies to those following and seeing some of my pictures 'disappear'. It is entirely my own fault due to clearing out old photo's on my computer which in course removed them from my 'OneDrive' which I use to upload pictures. I will try and reinstate any that I still have on my phone, but some of the earlier pics might be lost forever, sorry..........🙄 Thanks for all your likes on what I've done so far. Kevin
  21. Hi All, I think I might have 'solved' the mystery of the 'spacer.png' appearing in my recent work in progress posts. I have been cleaning up old photo's on my computer recently including those of the this and previous builds and this seems to have been the problem. they also disappear from OneDrive it seems and they cannot then be viewed. I've just done a test removal of a picture on my OneDrive and hey presto it now has become 'spacer.png'. I will re-instate the test removal picture on my build. I now will look to use another hosting site, but until then I will keep any pictures on my OneDrive so any I use don't disappear........🙄 Thanks Guys, you've all been amazing. Kevin
  22. Hi All, Thankyou for your comments and suggestions about my problem. I'll have a play around and see if some of those 'suggestions' help or resolve the problem. But probably I think it likely that I find a suitable photo hosting site and use that in future. I really appreciate all your comments, and your time in helping. Thanks, Kevin
  23. Hi, I'm not particularly computer savvy, but I've looked at my current Work in Progress post, and where I had pictures there I now have an icon/spacer.png appear. Just posted three more pictures and they appear for now. Anything idea what I'm doing wrong, or how to correct it so it doesn't happen in future. Grateful of any replies/suggestions. Thanks, Kevin
  24. Well, I have now got the wings attached. It took a few attempts to get a nice smooth finish, using Green Stuff Putty, then once dry, sanded checked and sanded again. Then more filling, sanding, checking. Once satisfied I applied Mr. Surfacer 500, to add a a final filling of minor blemishes. Once happy a spray coat of Mr Surfacer 1500, then lightly burnished. Final job a quick re-scribe of the panel lines where they had been reduced/lost in the filling process. Next, I masked off the nose glazing using Tamiya tape. This took a little while, following the panel lines on the glazed section, a new sharp scalpel blade helped to get the lines straight. The cockpit openings were masked using damp tissue paper (toilet paper) applied by pressing the tissue with a probe into the openings. If it dries out before painting begins a drop of water from a pipette soon soaks through the tissue. This also allows you to remove it easily using tweezers. Next up, some primer and base of Gloss Black, for the Silver airframe later. Thanks for looking......
  25. Hi, Looks like you are going to be teacher to your gathered interested parties. I am sure that even after your points what not to do, we all still will. But we will be a little wiser when it comes to ours. Thanks for sharing Kevin
