Wow, another one I had missed, great job, I can see you have added lots of extra detail, including cutting the nose off the main body, and adding the helmet is a nice touch.

The blue and silver scheme looks very smart!

Thanks, I suspect as you mention you had the hard moulded tyres your kit is a different (earlier?) release to mine as I have the (terrible!!) soft vinyl tyres in my kit.
My engine cover does not fit either!

Just found this thread and have to say its great to see you have finished this, it looks absolutely fabulous.
Did yours suffer from the side pod floor being mis-shaped/warped?

I recently picked one of these up that had just been started for £50, so had to go back and look at yours again!

Does anyone know if it will be available for Scale Modelworld 2022?
Their website says they will be there!
Maybe I should msg them.......

Fantastic, it has been very interesting reading your modifications you have done to the kit.
Thanks for posting.

What a superb result!
I would be over the moon with it.
And I see you are already on to the next!

Thats great, I think your solution of the block mounting flange is exactly correct.
A nice touch would be to add a fuel tank and throttle lever.

Super model and great photography, how do you keep it so dust free?!
Good tip on the magnets, I must get some.

Wow, great thread, please keep posting stuff from the mags!
Would it be possible to have some shots of the advert pages also?
If it is the same 32 Deuce (and it looks like it to me) it has an interesting history here:-

The cables in the engine bay really make it come alive.
All this talk of crazy patterned cloth suddenly makes my plain wooden modeling bench feel very boring!

Hi Matt,
Love the fact you are modelling these rarely modeled civil light planes.
Plus we get insights in to the inner workings of LDM.
I'm sure you will do it justice just as you did Chilton!

The other thing on this model that surprised me was the lack of any additional connection rods between the rear suspension uprights and the body like most other monocoque F1 designs of the period. Is this model accurate in that the entire rear suspension and wheels/ tires are entirely connected/ supported by the transmission only? If true, this must be the most “monocoque” of any race car I’ve ever seen!
Yes, it is correct, Lotus 79 (1978) and Williams FW07 (1979) were the same in this respect and by the early 80's all F1 cars had adopted this style.

Wow, nice clean job you have made of that!
Looks great, thanks for posting it.

Wow great result, the registration suddenly brings it all together.
Hope it's not too long before you dive in to the stash again!

Great stuff.
I have come to realise that with each resin model I make there is nothing that can't be fixed with superglue, filler and time!
The only variation is the quantity of each required.
It will be alright in the end - and if its not alright, its not the end!

Wow, thats interesting, the colour bands are shown in column 4.
@Zephyr Can you still access the flight magazine archive? Is there a results list available?
Interesting to see a Hodek 101 entered!
