If I may...another area of much confusion...and not easily clarified so far...the engine and gearbox etc. colours.
Many restoration cars have the 'gold' metal in abundance...however...a lot of refs from 'trackside' seem to disagree...at least in part.
Can you offer any guidance with regard to what was or wasn't the case?

I agree to the point where I only look at restoration pictures if nothing else is available, here is the gearbox and engine at the International Trophy 1975

I will be interested to see how you tackle the fiberglass intake shroud and brake ducts, I have seen some builds where they have copied the kit parts in translucent yellow resin which worked really well.

Hi Ron,
That's a difficult question! Ferrari were/are notoriously protective of their cars and photos with the body off are rare, allow me to quote Andy Mathews thoughts as a starter:-
The Tamiya’s 312T kit is a mixed box of parts that, if built from the box, won’t represent any car raced by Ferrari during the 1975 season. The kit largely represents a preseason development mule. One frequently asked question is about the “phantom” tank (parts E47 & E48) that rarely shows up in all but a few photos. You stating that Tamiya inaccurately reproduced the right side oil tank and radiator was both an accurate and great observation. When the 312T competed during the 1975 season, the large “phantom” tank did exist but was relocated to the lower right side of the rear bulkhead mounted just forward of the oil tank. To do this, the large oil tank and radiator assembly had to be modified. The modifications basically included a slightly reshaped oil reservoir with new mounting brackets. These changes created the needed space to mount what appears to be the biggest oil filter in the world. From 75 through 80, Ferrari’s wet lines and hard lines remained fundamentally the same. However, the shapes, size and locations of the various hardware that accepts many of these lines changed considerably over that 6-year period. From a modelers perspective, the attraction to building and detailing the whole T series of cars is that - once you have figured out how to successfully loop one car, the evolutionary differences between each chassis become even more subtle and immediately identifiable thereby making each car easier to complete.

There is a view that the rear tyres are too small, I have an after market set from a Japanese garage company in which the tyres are some 5mm bigger in diameter and 7mm wider.

In my research for the build I found so many conflicting ref pics...many of which were labelled the 1975 marque but were actually 76 or later...and it's been a real headache in deciding which details to add or ignore.
Having chosen to do Clay's car rather than Niki's...just to be different...I ran into a wall in finding good pics for his (Clay's)...which doesn't help considering each had very personal setup's...and the difference's were quite marked from what I have read.
To be honest...I built the roll cage for a challenge when the weather prevented me from priming/painting...but...if you have any more info on this please let me know.

Hi Ron, great work.
Dave is right, no front roll hoop for 1975, it was fitted for the first round of 1976
The 312T was only used for the first three rounds of 1976, Brazil, S. Africa and Long Beach, but the 312T and 312T2 are difficult to tell apart without the bodywork and in close ups.
Ron, if you post up the pictures you are not sure about, we can help to identify them? Are you modelling Clays car for a specific race?

A long time ago, before the internet was a thing, the IPMS issued a pamphlet called 'Shops That Sell Models', it was titled as such because a lot of shops sell models alongside other stuff. I may still have a copy somewhere.

Nice, one of my favourite aircraft. Made my own rubber power flying model from the Aeromodeller 3 views.
There is a good book about Art Chesters racing planes called 'The Art Chester Story' by Caler and Underwood, comes up on the bay quite often.

Hi Badder,
I had the same problem, I am running windows 10 and was using Chrome as my browser.
The solution is to use MS Edge that comes with win10.
Once I changed to Edge all the websites I could not access and the invisible imgur pictures all appeared again.
I went through all the same frustrations/checks as you did, - resetting my router, different DNS addy, re-install win10 etc etc nothing worked.
