Now if they'll include an Orpheus recce pod in the stores...please!
-
My guess is this is the SMER kit with new markings and better decals. Should be interesting to see what actually is in the box. The SMER kit was a nice little kit. Not sure about dimensions etc. but it looks like a MiG-17 when built. If this really is a new kit then Yahoo!!! Waiting to see...

Should be a T-51A if in fact it is a C-150 in Air Force markings which I'm guessing it will be. Cheers to KP. My only question is are they new molds or more re-pops of other manufacturers molds. Don't get me wrong, the old 150 and 172 by ARII were really good kits so was there 337 and Aero Subaru. They've been gone a long time and need re-popped. If these are "NEW" molds that's great too. Just will be interesting to see. Cheers!

1/35 - Sikorsky CH-54A Tarhe by ICM - released
Grayhawk replied to Homebee's topic in The Rumourmonger
Now that we know it's real can we start a campaign to get ICM to consider 48th and 72nd. 35th will be impressive but huge. I had the opportunity to see the NVNG in action and it'd a fantastic machine. It will be really interesting to see what this looks like in the flesh?! Should be a very good model based on ICM's recent releases. Cheers -

1/72 - North American P-51D/K Mustang by Arma Hobby - release in 2023
Grayhawk replied to Homebee's topic in The Rumourmonger
You guys got me thinking. More or less hasn't every major manufacturer done or is doing at least one kit of a P-51 in at least one or various marks in the one true scale - or as the guys over here in the states call it "MAN SCALE". Cheers! FTOSOTP Let the firestorm begin.- 28 replies

Why 35th though? 48th would be a better choice as would 72nd, but what do I know... -
I'd go for the trifecta in 48th, Swift, Scimitar & Gannet!!! This is about as likely as my scoring the winning touchdown in the Superbowl!!!

Hooray!!! I've never been able to nail down an Aeroclub kit. I've wanted to do a "Electronics" bird for a long time. This will look great next to my other e-bird projects.

Not wanting to sound like I'm whining but...why not an RC-12D etc. If they plan on a new fuselage for a 300 that would really be AWESOME!!! I will buy at least 1 of the 200 for an RAF bird but I'd buy 10 RC-12D etc.

New Mimaki 3DUJ-553 printer and the end of the hobby.
Grayhawk replied to Stringbug's topic in The Rumourmonger
If you'll pardon a golf metaphor - there are all kinds of "electronic golf" games available on your phone, computer or gaming system yet people are still dragging their clubs to the course. All I want is to be able to make detail parts in one uniform tan/gray color to detail existing kits. That's it!!! Cheers -
I want you to know up front that I have no financial connection with Aero Research, though I have purchased items from them and I count myself lucky to be included in their list of photographers. I received this email and thought you guys would be interested. I sure was. Aero Research is offering 2 FREE downloadable files that are really outstanding. These are samples of the pictures included on their reference disks. If you've never purchased any items from Aero I can assure you you'll not be disappointed. Their reference books are top notch and their C/D's have some of the most unusual and best aircraft reference photos you'll ever run across. For those of you outside the USA, you can purchase these items as 1 time downloads so there's no outrageous mailing costs with the USPS, Royal Mail, etc. The photos are from private collections and most are never before printed or published anywhere. These are not your average pictures from the US Gov Printing Office or any other "web source". The list of photographers is huge and distinguished. These are from the photo collections of photographers like Bill Larkins, Jerry Greer, etc. Cheers FTOSOTP! Below is the email with the info from Aero Research to get this great deal: Aero Research is now offering a free sample CD file to anyone who requests a copy, in order to acquaint people with our product line. The sample file contains a sample photo from each of the 157 photo CDs in our catalog as of June, 2021. It will be delivered as a two-part email attachment to those who are interested. Those interested only need to request a copy of the sample through our email address: aeroresearch@charter.net. We wish to assure those who do request a copy that we will not keep their email address on file; that they will not receive any solicitations from Aero Research; and that their email address will not be passed along to a third party. The sample being offered is attached to this email and one to follow. Thank you for your attention. Aero Research

No, no one would do these in 72nd. It's not a popular scale and everyone builds 48th and 32nd... I'm willing to bet on a 72nd set at some point real soon. Some of the stuff is already around but they're some still coming. Cheers!

Cybermodeler has this listed as a July '21 release. Anyone heard about this? It is listed as a "New Tool". I'd go for this one. Cheers!

Almost too jazzed to speak, or uh, type. I've a list of "must haves" for my collection of EW aircraft. The top two DC-8 kits are on my list. I'm truely looking forward to these two kits. I know they are Mach 2 and I don't care. It's better than scratch or vac!!!

Sorry guys, but I don't agree with naysayers, I'm with 'Work in Progress'. A while ago you could find the 48th Revell F-15E at Hobby Lobby or Michael's here in the USA for anywhere from $29 to $39. Now they are running in the $50 range. A US boxing of a Revell AG kit in 72nd would be way less expensive than an Academy, Hobby Boss, or Great Wall kit. I know the hype about the different Asian kits of the "Mud Hen" but if this gets us closer to a "True" F-15A/B/C/D as well as an 'E' in 72nd from Revell AG, I'm all for it. The 48th F-15E is one of their nicest kits Revell's done, even though its been around for a few years. You can nitpick any kit to death but the question is does it look like what it's supposed to be and the Revell Strike Eagle looks it. Sign me up for a half dozen or more. My only question is will you be able to build an F-15EX out of the kit? I believe that most of the mods are internal so it may be possible. Here's hoping...

Hooray! I've wanted a couple more of this kit and especially since they've included the marking I've wanted. Awesome!
