  1. That's what I am thinking as well. Perhaps I will just fade it to black inside to ward off the flashlight police. By the way, have you noticed that the roof of the right intake has raised ribs inside while the left has flush ribs? I did not notice until I had the intakes assembled and installed, but it is not easy to notice.
  2. Thanks for the reply Muzz! I believe the first link shows an earlier version of the Mig 31 as that area is raised rather than flush like the kit, but it does show the trailing edge to be rather thin. Any idea of the structure underneath? I have been looking at images courtesy of Google but haven't found it too helpful and I have no references for this aircraft.
  3. Holy moly! For the first few pictures I thought I was looking at a real aircraft! Great photography and super build!
  4. I don't care that this isn't the newest release of Eduard's G-6, your paintwork is superb! I am willing to bet that you could have painted a block of wood with your skills and I would still love it!
  5. Would you gentleman care to elaborate? What about the GWH kit makes it better than the Hasegawa kit? I am a little familiar with the Has. kit but not so much the GWH kit.
  6. I am currently working on the Lovely AMK Mig 31 and I am getting close to adding the air intakes to the fuselage. I have noticed that the trailing edge of the intake immediately before the upper air bleed door is relatively thick and I have not seen any photos to support that. My intention is to thin the trailing edge down but that would also open the area up to see inside. I have no idea what would be under that area and how it should look. Does anyone have any information regarding this area? I have not seen any drawings yet that describe it well enough. Maybe I am totally wrong and the edge is supposed to be that thick? any help would be greatly appreciated. I am having a great time building this thing and want it to turn out well. As an aside....many thanks to those that have posted pictures and reviews of this kit on this site. They have all been truly inspirational, especially Mikes build review. It's nice to be excited about a kit again!
  7. That is looking rather handsome! I got that same kit assembled but not painted and it wasn't easy to get that far! Looking forward to more updates on this one.
  8. That is one smooth build! I love the airbrush work on that one!
  9. Nice! I'm still working on getting mine out of the plastic bags! Sharp build!
  10. "........Negative Ghostrider the pattern is full!".....Really, really full!
  11. Your models make me want to build an airliner! That MD-11 looks fantastic! From the first few pictures it looked like it was 1/48 or larger. By that I mean it looked like it had to be that big to get the fidelity of detail that you achieved. Great job!
  12. I just finished reading Richard S. Drury's book, "My Secret War". Your model looks fantastic! I hope I can find those markings in 1/48. Nice work on the camo and weathering. Drury mentions how slow the A-1 was when fully loaded. Simply amazing that more didn't get shot down carrying all that weight and drag.
  13. Wanting to do an Eagle but I would like some opinions from those in the know as to which on is better.
  14. Great work on the paint jobs! I wish I could brush paint that well. Do you mask the camo or paint it free hand?
  15. The P-40 may not have been one of the best fighters , but it was one of the best looking fighters ! Great job ! You did a wonderful job blending all those separate panels that Hasegawa used to make it a multi mark kit !
  16. Just got mine in the post today. I had the first release and it just didn't look right to me. This one looks much better! If there are discrepancies still then I can live with them, which is not how I felt about the first release. Thank you Eduard for your efforts!
  17. That's an interesting technique with the salt. I'll have to try it. Your build looks like it is turning out rather nice! Thanks for the update.
  18. Oooooh that is pretty! Great weathering! Also I am glad you took the photos on direct sunlight, always makes it look more real to me and the colors are wonderful!
  19. Les, That is looking real sharp! I really like the painting you have done. It brings the whole thing to life. Looking forward to future updates!
  20. Very nice job! Thanks for sharing it with us!
