That looks great, BUT .... is it worth the possible build problems if you intend it to be all closed up in the end?

Didn’t HKM do something similar, releasing a limited edition with duplicated clear fuselage parts, but which I think is still available? With the Border Lancaster I wonder how the original moulds will stand up to another release? The price of the Border Lancaster is all over the place; I recently saw it at Luckymodel for £440 and it’s easy to find their discount code reducing their prices by about 18%, but it’s now disappeared for sale to the UK, strangely they do have it available to the USA for £$660 ( and maybe a discount code too?).

In an attempt to keep this tenuously on topic …… One of John Player’s brands was Navy Cut and the logo was a naval sailor in uniform ( see what I did there?). our tiny village had a great Street Party, but I have to say that the Coronation itself looked like an overlong, badly acted, badly edited, badly scripted, episode of Game of Thrones 😁.

I’m sure they would, they are an honourable firm to deal with. At their advertised price it’s almost as if they’ve forgotten to add the VAT, which if even then added, Jadlam still be cheaper than some others advertising this pre-order ( with the same preferable exchange rate? ). ,

I’ve pre-ordered the Brian Lane from Jadlam. I only want one Mk.1a ( mid ) and I’m not too fussed about markings, but actually I find the figures a little creepy!

and it’s a ‘Limited Edition’ for whatever that’s worth.

I know that it’s been mentioned before but the way that the front tyre is located on the rim, does look rather odd in that screen grab and the video itself. Does the 1/12 Tamiya look similar?

Nick - What I was inferring was that probably with your research, you will produce a more accurate representation of a wheel and tyre than the four supplied with the kit, and that means that the resulting set of five will not be a match. If that mis-match presents a problem to the modeller I see two possible solutions; either buy a set of five of your wheels or ……… get four people to club together to buy another kit, giving each a matching spare wheel and tyre for use as the spare, whilst retaining the remainder of the kit and finding a fifth person to build it with five of Nick’s wheels 🤔 ( it’s a slow day here ).

and then of course you find out that the 4 supplied wheels are incorrect in some way ............ hmmmmmmmmm.

/\ This. I didn't get the Alfa because I couldn't live with Italeri's wheels, and with my (lack of) building skills I couldn't justify the extra percentage cost of good aftermarket wires. That is why I jumped at this Bugatti (no awful oob wires) and in some way I wish I'd never seen all the fantastic work that Nick is doing for this Bugatti !!!! Nick: Did you know that Philippe Etancelin's Alfa 8C might still live not too far from you ( Llangollen or Llanrwst, I can't remember which? (That's a lot of assumptions about where it is and you are).

I notice that the Bugatti Owners’ Club have a stand at next month’s Race Retro at Stoneleigh; maybe it’s worth enquiring if they are going to exhibit a relevant car at the show?

I needed display cases for my 1/8th Pocher Bugatti and Alfa. There are people who can make you quality made to measure acrylic cases for a fraction of what Pocher charge (£340?).
