Well, I understood we are limited to 360 pixels on maximum dimension (at least in the FRROM website) so I always taylor the photos accordingly -excepted when I forget, that may happen.
Gilles, Battle looks really great. I think the vast number of modelers is blessing you for doing it so well!
Regarding the picture size on BM I think 1000 px is a limit

Nice result! I have a big respect who are able to construct nicely such paper work.

Very interesting, however out of Heinkel prototypes I will like more He-112 V6 ( from Spain...)_ And by the way @Ivan Shepel, would you please tell (if you know) what is current status of the further variants of R5 (SSS and PR-5, in particular)? Are there sill planned to be done, or maybe already done (and I only overlooked it), or abandoned?

Very interesting machine, however only the sole prototype of this type existed, so it would be good to now which schemes are the historical, and which "alternate"?

Few Air France Farmans 223 were converted into bombers. First bombing of Berlin was done using such machine

Very nice! I like your palette of colors very much, what is it exactly? I have a dozen of Italianas in stash which I do not start because I am not sure on colors....

Not exactly, Gentlemen.
The Monogram/Revell one pictures the AD-5 (sans W) that has different canopy and no ventral radar.

I've looked at this on a small screen of my smartphone and have not noticed he radar thing...

It was also in use for the civilian antisubmarine patrols along US coast lines during WW2, that is another interesting choice

Many years ago, when I was a teenager there was also a Monogram kit of this variant

Alain, nice Catalina!
I did model of the same machine from Airfix set (conversion from PBY5A to PBY5, so from amphibian to boat) when I was 14, so 50 years ago... Few year ago I did a refurbishment of this old model, it was on show here on RFI/BM ...
Anyway I have a soft spot to WQ-Z...

Very nice. Once again you prove that a good modeler can make excellent model from not ideal kit...

Just for discussion, for me the stripe is not any illusion, it is seen on both wings (on right less obvious but it is there)
The black top of fin is more bizarre than in case of He-111. The angle is not a result of being parallel to ground, its is rather a range from leading edge of a tailplane... The bottom remained black? I doubt but it is very dark

Have you noticed, that the Wellington on above link has clearly visible single strip on each wings, right outside the engines? This is something new to me!
On 5/27/2023 at 2:38 AM, brewerjerry said:might be my eyes but is there a light coloured i/d stripes on each outer mainplane ?
Obviously the dark areas are shadows from three person, but indeed, there is strange on the leading edge. The lighter color from bottom is visible along all the length of the leading edge, but right in the pace out the engines the leading edge has no light color, what might be the stripe like it the link above.
On 5/27/2023 at 11:43 AM, 81-er said:I don't recall seeing anything about recognition stripes being used in the Middle East,
I have not hear as well but the photo in link above shows some.
So there is another puzzle - the color of those strips: yellow? (yellow was then use for codes in ASR machines in Med)

There is a color photo of French Wellington (MK X as for me) with high demarcation line (so different story) but on engine at least my eyes see DG and DE besides the obvious MS on other parts - is it an another three color case?
https://www.alamy.com/stock-photo-vickers-wellington-lp704-french-af-71224114.html
Are we sure that the the subjected three-colors Wellingtons are not the French one? (Thr-color by definition, some way )

If you do start to build it, please leave a link on this thread to your WIP so we can follow it
Cheers Pat
Pat, thanks. surely, if I will go with it.
I am pausing a bit with models now. I have to do some urgent job things also using me free time for it... To be frank I a not decided yet if I will do the beech platform for Late 298. This will take the time, which I can spent on other airplane. But if I decided to go with it I will remember.

The two volumes are remarkably cheap in Spain, considering they are quite hefty tomes, with a lot of content not available elsewehere.
Unfortunetely I do not have the second volume. What it was about?
BTW - regarding the first one with Czechoslovak, Polish and British there are described few machines that are on the list "airplanes that did not took part in Spanish Civil War" like RWD-8 for instance...

Hi, very impressive and rare build from times when Revell kit appeared. One correction - this is not Amodel (from Ukraine) but Airmodel (from, Germany) - the name of the producer.
I have three Airmodel vacuforms in stash (Ju 90, He 42, He 160) - I hope one day (or rather maybe one year) I will do all of them. The Viking from Revell is also in stash. Therefore your build is very inspiring to me ....
Best regards

The Miranda/Mercado British/Czech/Polish aircraft has 8 pages covering the Vildebeest including two pages of scale drawings and one page of camo & markings. Quite probably those are the drawing Jerzy posted links to. The Docavia I recently acquired regrettably only has one pic and rather brief text.
Yes, this is the book I have , I have bought it in Caceres, Estremadura, about 2002. This was a very good of spending some 20 euro 😍
