  1. Rom 1 Very nice looking model, the whole thing looks fantastic. Thank Ozzy
  2. Thanks Ozzy I built the M7 a few years ago too as the British version and seem to remember the same thing but have found that Dragon Sherman based kits are the same and just thought it was me. I also found the fighting compartment on the Sexton did not not seem to fit that well but again think that is due to the way I put it together. There is a Sexton at Fort Nelson on Portsdown Hill Thanks Jimbob, I've seen the Sexton at Fort Nelson, while nobody was looking, I jumped inside and took these(don't tell anyone). The first one is the smaller of the 2 cupboards the material looks like the charge bags where secured within, the bigger of the 2 had some sort of frame so couldn't look in This was just a quick one of the gun, I was crouched down so I wouldn't draw attention to myself I have spoken to the fire power museum and they are happy for people to climb over and count rivets. Ozzy
  3. Jimbob, I've got one of these in my stash, hope it turns out as good as yours it looks fantastic. Is there anything to look out for? I built the M7 priest a few years ago and that went together fairly well, I had the same problems with attaching the upper and lower parts together, i thought it was me. I'm just waiting for a trip to the firepower musem to have a look in those cupboards at the rear, I think there for the charge bags as I've found pictures for the Ammo storadge within the floor. Ozzy
  4. Ratch, Your layout is looking good, some fantastic kits, you've built so far. Ozzy
  5. Got round to putting the decals on the SSYMS 80, it was the first time I have used Micro Sol, what a fantastic product. I found the Trumperter decals a little bit annoying as they took a while to dislodge and then they wouldn't move off the backing, I found a method to get them onto the model and got there in the end. I also painted the wheels and leaf springs, I weathered the whole thing with a pot of pigments I had lying around, so can't nail what is in it, apart from they are mig products. I have done the weathering now I just need to make it look a bit grimmey with an oil was and some other AK interactive products I have. The decals once they were moved into position look really good and are all legible.
  6. This is fantastic, your attention to detail is amazing, the whole thing looks very real. Thanks Ozzy
  7. The way I do individual track links is by putting the sticky side of tape upper wards, the tape helps keep the tracks together. Then start, link glue, link glue. I find this the most productive way, once you have stuck a number together then you can transfere to the road wheels, then glue all sections together and there you have it, track bashing complete. Ozzy
  8. Nice pocket battleship, looking good so far. Have you got a big magnifying glass? For all the detail. Ozzy
  9. Colin, Despite the shortness of the tracks, what a fantastic looking build, im in Orr of your weathering, the rust is done really well. What did you use? Ozzy
  10. ThanksI have found only one so far a chap called Eric Staney Lock, (Spitfire pilot) shot one down on the 20th sept 1940. Ozzy
  11. If you don't mind can I jump aboard please? I'm going to build An ICM Hershel HS126 1:48, I've done a bit of research and 7 were shot down during the Battle of Britain. Somthing a little different. Ozzy
  12. Had a good go at the ground work, I used One of AK interactive weathering sets, and some of taymia's flat black. I used the engine oil all over the base to give it a grimmey look, just need to give it a more Matt look. The grass tufts are from Joefix, I added them for a bit of colour.
  13. Fantastic looking build, the time you spent on the camouflage was worth it, it looks really good. Ozzy
  14. You and me both, work has been busy. Yeah nealy finished, then I can start on that Lynx or a Sexton I've got on my to do pile. have you been up to much? 30th may is the Salisbury model show if your about?Ozzy
  15. Mick,Thanks. JP,Thanks, Below is what I used for the track balast, I got it from my local model shop (Endless Models, Salisbury) it comes small, medium ( which I used) or large, unfortunately it doent come with a brand name. I found it in the railway section of the shop, so it must be available across the UK. Guys thanks again Ozzy
  16. Not done that much modelling lately, hopefully get this project completed over Easter. For now a small update on the ground work, the stones between the sleepers have been glued down with PVA glue, I mixed them both together them put them in place by hand. The central bit was done using air dry modelling clay, these pictures were take last night, so hopefully not to much shrinkage. Ground work in general. Ground work in detail. Once it's all dry in going to give it a going over with my airbrush then add the finishing touches to it. Ozzy
  17. I like the film, your buccaneer looks fantastic, I've built a couple of the matchbox kits when I was younger, I can tell you they didn't end up as good as that. Ozzy
  18. Alan, A very nice vingette, it all works very well. Ozzy

Ratch, This looks intresting, are you going to put any armour or dismounts on the dio? I've built a few mini art kits, I do enjoy building them, you just need lots of scalpel blades and filler. Once they are finished they really do look good. Ozzy
