  1. The hope of matching your prowess is one of the things that keeps me trying. Your work is one of, if not the best in 1/72 I've ever seen, and this beauty is a testament to your skill. Jan
  2. I have just talked with Iwata support; they told me to put something on the nozzle to seal it. I put some vaseline on the threads, and lo and behold, it works! Thanks to everyone who offered help here. I hope this thread will be of assistance to others in the future. Jan
  3. Hello, I recently posted a thread: http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/234989726-are-these-fisheyes/asking about problems with airbrushing tamiya paint. Recently, I have found out that it is not the paint at all, but rather the airbrush itself. It sputters, producing a somewhat spotty overspray, as well a producing a strange rattling sound, which can be heard in the following video (Apologies if my video making skills are not the best!) I have tried cleaning out the airbrush, the needle is fine, and this happens no matter what I spray through. I use an Iwata Revolution HP-CR, spraying at 15 psi. I can provide more details if necessary. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance, Jan
  4. Thanks Ian, that was exactly what I was looking for! Jan
  5. Hello, I seem to remember someone doing a diorama of a 1/144 aircraft, which I seem to remember as a BAC 1-11, flying over a coastline/sea. I have been trying to look for pictures, but I can't seem to find any. My memory is a bit fuzzy on this one, so I may have gotten a few details wrong, including the type of aircraft. Does anyone know which pictures I am referring to? Thanks in anticipation Jan
  6. Hi, Thanks for the replies. I am using Tamiya paint, thinned to about 33%. I have not thought about the primer, so I may try that. Will report on results. Thanks Jan K
  7. Hello I have started to paint a p-40, only to be plagued by the problem which keeps messing me up. The paint does not want to adhere properly, even after I have just cleaned the model. Are these fisheyes? Can anybody tell me what they are and how to fix them? Thanks. http://imgur.com/a/kFS8Q
  8. Thanks, will try to get it! At least there are still some out there. I will keep my eyes peeled.
  9. Good day. I have been looking high and low for a MiG-19 in 1/32 scale, and, unfortunately, could not find any. Trumpeter made one, but there don't seem to be any left. My question is whether or not other manufacturers have made such a kit. Cheers, Jan
  10. If this is anything like the revell kit, the wings will be a straight nightmare to assemble.
  11. This will be interesting! Eager to see how this plays out.
  12. Nice, looks like I finally have a reason to build a Hungarian flanker.
  13. This man was my idol. I have and continue to aspire to be like him. His death is a great blow to us all. RIP
