A nice model. Should the sight telescope be the same elevation as the barrel?

OK. This is a long shot. Sometime ago 2019? There was a build log of MA Sopwith camel. It had extensive photos and pe added. For the life of me I can't find it. I've tried various searches Can anyone help please? . I have one in the stash and hope to make a start. The photos suffered with the photo bucket fiasco. I figured if I could track the author he may be able to email me the files.
Thanks

Using your post to upscale to the 1/72 revell maco kit. Such amazing detail. Thankyou

I tried to build the Renwal one when I was younger. Sadly I managed to mix the parts of the tractor and pusher. Nice to see this big beast from the cold War era

The very first armour model that I built was an Ontos. I can't remember which manufacturer (obviously not this one), but it was billed as "The Thing with a Sting". That was back in the 50's, and I suspect that I didn't do as good a job on it as you've done with this one. Excellent work.
John.
Renwal possibly. I remember building one too John

Love that figure. Didn't know Andrea did 1/72 and a good price too. Sets the diorama nicely

There's a lot that can be learned from YouTube
When you have painted the 251 seal it with a gloss coat eg acrylic before you start the weathering chipping, panel lining.
Good choice the 251 and a good start. Go forward. Experiment and learn.

Perhaps they will be able to print, paint and weather in a oner. With user select parameters. Haha

Tiger hatch lifting handles.
Handles to turret and forward deck hatches added using fuse wire.
Also to the engine deck and escape hatch.
They always start off with 90 degree angles and straight handles but fitting them nearly always seems to introduce a bend somewhere.....
However I think they're a marginal improvement on the plastic blobs they replace, even if they are a little over-scale.
The lifting loops are stretched sprue pulled through holes drilled at the required location then cemented in place at the desired height. 🧑🔧
For grab handles and a perfect fit
Remove most of the original moulded handle leaving enough trace to determine the drilling for anchoring the new wire grab handle. BDrill the holes and remove the rest of the moulded handle to flush. thread the wire through the Drillings.Pull down and the right angles will form between the hole and the plastic. Push back out to the desired height and glue in place.
Hope this helps.

Ahh. Got it. The Mtp on the Challey is designed to look like a platoon of troops at a distance. To make up for the decrease in numbers🤔
Smoke and mirrors anyone?
PS. Some interesting info there. THX

Very good work.i like the detail stowage on the engine deck. What are you using for antenna elements? They seem a little overscale

Class work. Very impressive.

The track links fixed to the side of the turret look like they need some serious weathering

That's a lot of fiddly parts

Just noticed this. There is a safety film on YouTube called Hazardous operations. Narrated by Windsor Davis. Don't know if it would help. The side annex of the HAS at Wattisham. F4 Phantoms housed the compressor unit and the tanker
