Hello,

usually i build aircraft models but some time ago i wanted to try something new. So this is my first non-aircraft model.

Completely OOB.

 

Had some fun so i thing i'm going to build something else that doesn’t have wings in the future )

Thank you for your warm words, but i believe that everyone can make such photos. I’m not a photographer, i don’t have all that expensive things — just used and cheap tripod and lightbox, simple Olympus, a couple of table lamps and peace of black/grey/blue/etc paper from local shop. I found a few articles about how to take great pics of your model, then a bit of practice and here is the result. It doesn’t take neither much money nor time.

RC317 — AMT11 Blue Grey
RC316 — AMT7 Light Blue

 

BTW, i was told that prop on Yak-3 was grey, not black. 

So if you’re going to build this bird you’d better check it before painting.

I used AK paints for this camo. They are much more accurate than those suggested in the instruction.

Yes, it’s quite a simple model. Could be a good choice for beginners OOB. 

But there are some areas that worth some aftermarket.
