  1. Airbourne was good, bit too far for great photos though.

  2. ATerrible day today, glad I am going to Airbourne tomorrow, and then have the week off. And tomorrow is my birthday.

  3. Me109 complete with yellow nose flying ove rthis morning, Mustang doing aerobatics early this afternoon. Another normal day!

      The recent 1/72nd one? A nice kit indeed, but be careful with the alignment of the undercarriage and airbrake inserts, the nosecone join (remove the pitot and put it back again at the end, you WILL knock it off otherwise), and the red warning lines over the engine section.

      We only get buzzed by helicopters or deafened by the RAF!

      Sometimes the army flies Blackhawks pretty low over my house, but that's it.

      For the last week we have had a pair of WAH-64 Apaches fly over my flat. Everyday at 16:00-ish taking the same flight path. Fun :)

  16. Watching a Yak-52 (possibly G-BXJB) flying extremely low level aerobatics over a field near house this afternoon! Hope he knew those were power lines...

      Ah, the power of music! It was Ramstein with one 'm', and it was the Italian Air Force display team, the Frecce Tricolori, that lost three aircraft, one of them crashing into the crowd watching.

      A Su-27 crashed and went into the crowd at Skynliv in the Ukraine in 2002. Is that what you were thinking of?

  24. Still cleaning the badly sprayed Humbrol 11 silver off my Airfix Spit 22. There is a knack to spraying silver and I didn't have it...

      I have an old can of Tamiya alu spray I might try, pref. by decanting it into a jar - don't like spraying small models with an aerosol!

  25. Just got a new airbrush. Side cup, double action, 3 different size nozzles, about 17 quid!
