  1. Nice one, Russ. The Cobra is a great looking airframe, sitting in the revetment really adds to the whole build. Not sure if you have already done one but you could do a Loach to make a Pink Team. Phil
  2. 1/72 Revell Ju-88 A4, High Speed Aerial Reconnaissance / Patrol Aircraft, Luft '46 I always enjoy building something a little different and here we have the excellent Revell kit with a unique scheme. At wars end, the Luftwaffe repurposed some of its now dated aircraft to fulfil roles that didn’t require the latest jet powered ‘wonder weapons’ as these were better employed keeping the far-reaching borders of The Reich secured from any potential Allied incursions. Aircraft such as the dependable Ju-88 were overhauled with improved engines and communications, refreshed with a bold and confident paint scheme and pressed back into service to fly reconnaissance and patrol patterns. A terrifying new dawn approaches…..
  3. 1/72 Eduard MiG-21, No. 5121, 921st Fighter Regiment, Vietnam 1972 Here is Eduard’s delightful MiG-21 kit. This is incredible value for money, the amount of goodies that you get in the box is fantastic. A selection of 5 different schemes to choose from! The main decals were very good, many of the smaller airframe stencils were a bit poor and I elected to leave most of them off. The fit is exceptional and the detail of the moulding superb. I am glad that I have a few more in the stash! I used Mr Hobby Silver for the main colour and I found that it sprayed a bit patchy in places. Will stick with Tamiya in the future. All in all, a very fun build and would highly recommend. Cheers all, Phil
  4. 1/72 Academy OV-10A Bronco, 20th TASS/504th TASG, Da Nang, South Vietnam, 1969 Nice kit, builds well. The only challenge really is finding space up front for all the weight that is needed to keep it’s nose down! Added some spare etch belts to the seats, couple of extra decals in the big, open cockpit and some old paintbrush bristles for the whip aerials. I have the other main FAC’s in my stash and will hopefully get around to building them someday…. Cheers, Phil
  5. 1/72 Dragon MiG-17F, 2011, VPAF, Vietnam, 1967 My second build of the little Dragon MiG. Simple kit that goes together quickly and easily. Was going to be an all silver finish but decided to have a play around with a bit of a camo squiggle instead. A bit of artistic licence is in play here!! Really pleased with this one, looks great in-flight and joins my line up of other VPAF aircraft. Cheers gang, Phil
  6. 1/72 Valom RF-101C Voodoo “Gerry’s Clown”, 45th TRS, Vietnam 1969 This kit sat on my shelf of doom for quite some time. Was a bit of a pig in places and took quite some effort to beat it into submission! Finally dragged it over the line though. For such a big, sleek jet I decided to build it in-flight. I used a spare Corgi Aviation Archive stand for this. I also added a spare pilot figure, extended the jet pipes a touch and also added wing fences as none were included in the kit. Airbrushed using Tamiya paints and a Flory wash for a bit of weathering. Quite pleased with how it turned out in the end. Cheers gang, Phil
  7. Wow, incredible build. All the extra added detail is exceptional. Superb stuff.
  8. Excellent, the 'SLUF' is one of my favourite planes. So many lovely schemes to choose from too. The SEA schemes look just as awesome. Well done buddy.
  9. My word, that looks stunning. When you are not sure whether you are looking at the real thing or not....!!!! 👍
  10. That looks very smart, good to see a 1:1 scale hand in there as well for size reference. Quite tempted to pick one up now.
  11. Yet another stunning build Fuad. I do love seeing your work but every time I do I have a little sigh regarding my own builds.... 😂
  12. That is a great looking build, nice to see one built and so well too. The aircraft itself looks like it has been designed by someone hearing a description of what the F-22 and F-35 look like, over a very bad telephone line......
  13. What an incredible work of art - absolutely stunning.
  14. Absolutely superb Thud, George. I am a big fan of all things from SEA and that is magnificent. I would think that my wife would not be too happy either....!!! (I have decals in 72 scale for the same bird). I would love to see you do a 1/48 F-4 to the same standard. Phil
  15. That looks superb but OMFG - the size of the thing.....!!!! It is probably made with scaffold poles as well.....!!
  16. The fix for me was to use a very small drill bit to make the nozzle a little bit bigger - worked fine after that.
  17. Wow, what a beauty! It looks like it has just been plucked off a carrier deck for a photo shoot....!! Stunning work. Well done buddy. Phil
  18. Very handsome, I do like a nice and colourful NMF finish.
  19. A beautifully presented and very menacing looking Nightfighter. The exhaust staining on the port stab is very smart.
  20. Absolutely superb. The cockpit is especially nice and your added extras really add to the overall look. You've really pulled off the look of the Hun with the burnt away paintwork at the rear. C'est Magnifique
  21. Superb model, I love the look of some of the more exotic German flying boats. You have presented it so well, lovely little diorama.
  22. Great build and great scheme. Try picking up some strong reading glasses (if you don't already wear them) from Poundland for the finer detail stuff. When I realised that I needed readers the difference was like night and day with what I could then see....!!! 😂
