I have recently acquired the 1/48 Revell SR-71 and the 1/48 AFV Club U-2.
Looking to build them both in-flight but need 3 x seated chaps in pressure suits to do the driving, can anyone recommend anything within the UK that would fit the bill?
Cheers all,
Phil

Well then, I have a couple of these in the stash. Watching this masterclass makes me want to leave them in there for a while longer....!!!
Superb work. 👏

Superb. I have the Academy F-4C on the go right now, they are great kits. The Eduard re-box with all the additional goodies are really top notch!

Wow, really superb. I always get the feeling that early Soviet jets were made out of scaffold poles and would simply butcher their way through the skies to stay airborne!

Fantastic.
Many, many moons ago I abseiled out of a Junglie into the jungle (funnily enough), I just wish I could remember which cab it was.

Mmmm, I have been thinking about picking up a 104, I think that you have made my decision much easier - that is a terrific model, flawless paintwork.

Wow, just WOW.
My favourite modelling theme, you have smashed this out of the park. Well done, buddy.

Thanks Dave, what a great story. It's fab hearing first hand accounts from the guys who worked with and around the aircraft that we build models of.
Thanks to you and @georgeusa for sharing.

That looks magnificent. I was very fortunate to see this in the flesh a few years ago, breath-taking aircraft.

That is excellent, Russ. Superb, another great result. I do like seeing some of the more unusual stuff that flew over there. A UH-1F would also be a bit different (I have the Italeri 1/72 in the stash).

Excellent work, Mike. The F.1 is a great looking aircraft, the photo of it landing (above post) is a belter, MLG almost looks like an eagles talons....!!

Have you actually looked at either the Ju,88D or the Ju.88T?

1/72 ICM MiG-25PD – Foxbat E, Soviet Air Force, 1986
I remember as a young lad there was a feature in one of the UK newspapers about the Foxbat and how this massive and terrifying Soviet airplane was coming for all of us……
I have wanted to build one of these for quite some time and when the ICM PD was released I snapped one up.
The kit is fab, incredible detail throughout. A bit tricky in places (intakes need a lot of care to avoid problems later in the build). Really enjoyed this kit and the weathering of it too. Airbrushed using Tamiya paints. Loads of airframe stencils, I did leave a few off from the belly.
It is a beast of a machine and looks very imposing on the shelf. I have a Trumpy MiG-31 in the stash for a future build.
Cheers,
Phil

Cheers all, It was after watching your MiG-17 build on YouTube that inspired me to do this one. 👍

Nicely done. I always liked the look of the Bronco but never built a kit. Only the other I was checking out the availability of the Academy kit.
I'll have another look.
Cheers all, I would look for the Revell issue if I were you though, will have better decals.
