Let's hope Didier includes the Blue cheat lines in the K2 low viz option. Not one of his strong points as I found in the Britannia.

. . . . . if you see anything you want or interested in buying and its at the price you want, buy it when you see it. It will NOT be there later.
A few years ago a dealer at the end of the rows of the tables my club was at had a certain RAF bomber kit. Club chum told me. I went down, had a look, went back to my club table to get some money, back up to the dealer and he'd sold all 28 kits - in the time of of approx 5 to 6 minutes!
Last year Collectakit had two Airfix VC10 airliner kits. £30 each. I had a look at them put them back on the shelf. Turned away to look at something else, then turned back for one of the VC10s and they were both gone!
It's not unknown for us to put kits under the front table while people sort out finance, like go to the cash machine etc.

The only trader that readily springs to mind that has special prices( judging from the tickets all over the stall) is Wonderland Models.

Tell David to save me some decal sets, that will save me some disappointment.

Chris57, I believe a hundred posts rule had been omitted half a year or so ago, so now anyone can post queries in Wanted section. Cheers
Jure
Jure the 100 post rule is still valid, and requesting a donation of, or payment for an item surely belongs in that section?
-
This should really be in the Wanted section of General Discussion, however you require 100 posts to use that facility. If a Mod spots this they may delete it.

They've stuck the N.I. branch in the very back corner of Hall 3!
Thats with the 'Overseas Branches' ! Do you think they know something?
Certainly not; it just means all the translators are in one spot

I just looked at the photo again and its of an HR5 so my question of whether the colour change happened when they were converted is no longer relevant.
I wonder if the change was notified to the factory and production blades then became all black with yellow tips? Cost saving perhaps?
Mine are long gone!
Have to disagree as I think it is lighter than DSG. Even allowing for the sunnier place :
Fair comment, most of the guys involved with Britavia are long gone.

Hi Scimitar Just located my Britavia example, the instructions show the upper surface of the rotor blades as Dark Sea Grey, with Matt Black for the lower surfaces and Matt Yellow tips. hth cheers Chris
Hold everything, this info only applies to WG688 on HMS Bulwark 1955. For WG724 at Lossie in 1961, then it's Matt Black on both surfaces with Matt Yellow tips. I won't go looking for my Aerodrom one in the depths of the loft today, to much excitement already.

Aerodrom also did an example some time back.

I'm still undecided about Telford this year as it means losing a weekend of studying but, as the Wonderful Mrs Wez has relatives in Wolves it could be a good excuse to pay them a visit that weekend... ...
Take the plunge, you can always take your books with you and study on the Sunday if inclined. Jabba will make room for you on the table for a chat.

Hi chris57
The instructions on the Hannants website still illustrate the wrong nose and tail fairings.
I hope that the resin parts have been corrected.

Hi Gooney Help me out here. I looked at H but can only see BMA72010 ( Lancastrian conv) as a future release with no visible details. I notice Glen is also listing a Halton conversion as a future release(another one done by Magna). I'm holding some decals for Dave at Combat which I'm hoping to pass to Colin to-morrow. cheers Chris

Hi Chris @chris57,
think what Gooney Fan was meaning? was he'd sent Glen an advisory about how the aviation news plans can, at times, be slightly off! If Blackbird have used moulds made by anybody else, which I would doubt, you can bet your bottom dollar they've been checked to the n'th degree, before they've been used.
Hi Paul Glen's normally well researched, but with Combat now holding the Magna moulds I did wonder. I'm seeing Colin at Modelfest to-morrow, so I'll give him the third degree. See you at the Nats
-
Excuse my asking ,but what do the drawings in Aviation News have to do with Blackbird Models?.
Oh I see, Blackbirds produced a conversion now. Glen's possibly used the Magna moulds.
-
Seeing this is quite eerie, I have just completed one of these this week. Unfortunately one of the undercarriage doors had gone walkabout but I had a second one to rob
-
Those re-union decals also crop up on Super/Microscale 72-621.

Hi Wm The Revell offering seems to be the only one I don't have. In the cave at the moment with Airfix. Trumpeter, ICM & Hasegawa(reunion boxing) variants in the to do pile none of which look like your example. Haven't seen any reports on this one but perhaps a request to the IPMS( Mig Sig) might provide information. Sorry I can't be more help.

Looking at Scalemates it would appear to be Revells own offering

Mike just had the message appear 3 minutes ago as I tried to go to home from Aircraft modelling (modern) it took me out of the forum completely when I tried the F5 option on it.
-
Brilliant build Steve. I've just finished Mach2's Britannia, or rather it's just finished me. You almost got a call as the kit comes without any cheat lines, but I had some Magna ones in the box. See you at Telford.
-
Mikey Just to clarify the measurements for the underwing serials are the individual item, the total length is 63 mm. Likewise the 105 on the tail is 10mm overall. I'm quite happy to let you do the upscaling. Chris

Grief, your asking something. With my strongest glasses on I checked out the dimensions on the Magna decal sheet:-
The letter A = 19 x 13
Serial = 19 x 12 x 2
Red Diamond =18 x 10
Number( In diamond)= 5 x 3
105 on tail= 6 x 3.5 x 0.5
All measurements in millimeters ( roll on the return of feet & inches). hope this is of some use. cheers Chris

Magna Models make (made?) a resin kit in 1/72. I was sorely tempted at the time, but thought 'where would I put it'?
Now David of Combat Models has the Magna moulds I'm hoping they will eventually reappear given time. Having both the Beverley & Belfast in the stash somewhere the state of the decals are of concern.
-
Shame it's not 1/72. Magna carried options for XL148 & XM105. Sorry

And if you get really desperate I'll have my junior surgeons set with me, so arms & legs can be exchanged for desirable kits at a pinch!!
