  1. Dear All, First of all - best wishes for 2024! I would want to start 2024 with something nice - and what could be better then a Hurricane How about the Revell offering in 1/32, MK IIb #04698. First impression is very positive - not sure what could tackle this in 1/32. This looks to me as a very welcome contribution to the Hurricane range of kits. But I see very few reviews? And only a handfull of Build Logs. What is Your opinion please? Happy modelling in 2024 Zack
  2. @Bouncing_Tigger Thank you for this information. I think I will stick with one of the early MEDIVAC used in Afghanistan before the Army deal. Thank You and all the best for 2024! Zack
  3. Thank you for coming back to me on this topic! @cvrle This is also my understanding. Unfortunately the area is not very clearly depicted in any online photos I have found so far. They are visibly different but it is not clear to me what I need to do to modify them. AM is the way to go so I am hoping that @Alan P suggested Facebook link will work out Thank you for your time and support on this subject! Very best regards Zack
  4. Hi all, I recently acquired the Italeri 1/35 UH 60 and wonder if this could be a plattform for building the Sikorsky Black Hawk in Swedish markings. My understanding is that the version Sweden has is a later version and that there are some modifications required. Is there a better kit out there or should I fire away? Best regards Zack
  5. Hi Bosse, Hit a bump back in April myself, know the feeling... Have been to no good whatsoever since. 😐 ... Maybee a 1/52 Barrel can break the limbo 🤩 No ice please. Very Best regards Zack
  6. Very nice! Thank you for sharing and happy Easter 2023 Zack
  7. May I, quitely, no noise whatsoever... like a church mouse (Swedish expression)... silently taking notes 🚱... KR Zack
  8. I am sorry for your loss Bosse. Only just back from Enköping where my mother in law was laid to rest this weekend. Sad times. Good to see you back at the bench! Best regards Zack
  9. Hi James, From what I have learned (and I am happy to be corrected) the kit started of as a toy. Big size. And then at some point it was re-issued as a kit. I am not concerned about general dimension issues, and I am only going to (try to) beef up some of the very visible areas were things have gone a bit sideways. @Artoor_K did a god job on the kit (and some free license) here : This is my starting point - use whats in there and make it look OK No hope to achieve what Artoor did (I am crap at towels). Not sure if that was an answer to your question James, bottom line - I will just tweak som bits and let go of major corrections. Thank you for taking your time and interest! Very best regards Zack
  10. Hello Friends, Here is my entry to this GB - Flashback No. KLH8919 in 1:48 from 1998. Not sure yet but if I manage to find good resource pictures the will be in Danish colors, a Search And Rescue aircraft belonging to the Danish Navy. Web rendition: Actual aircraft: Missing the box - but here is the content (sorry, need to fix my focus): Looking forward to this, Happy Modelling all! Zack
  11. Hi again. I guess this is the occasion I have been waiting for to clear out a coffin full of plastic (0.670 Kg net weight): I give you "The Hobby Boss Focke Wulf FW190A-5, #81802 in 1:18" - tada!!! Box art: Box content, the brownish plastic is Eduards FW190A in 1:48 for measure 😐 : The kit is impressive in size and the moldings are nicely done. But accuracy and detail went out the same door that size came in. Anyway - I have had it for a couple of years now - and I am still somewhat intimidated. I have been staring at pieces like the instrument panel, the seat, the engine (well front row rendition) and I have been thinking - In this size MY mistakes are only going to be to obvious trying to correct those. And even worse the kit 🤔 But Hey-Ho. Shake it off and get going, right? Let the fun begin Stay safe, stay sane and Happy Modelling! Zack

That cockpit picture is going to be very helpful - I guess I am going "no repaint" atm - and I am sure that the moment I button up the air-frame there will be proof of RLM02 Thank You guys - TGIF - have a wonderful modelling weekend! Zack
  21. This is very good, thank you very much @BS_w! Much appreciated - and also helps me understand a completely different question I have struggled with for some time now - blue Lionoil shop coating. Thank you very much! Best regards Zack
  22. Hello @Troy Smith , Thank you for your input! Books on order (Kindle). The kit is the 1/32 Special Hobby P-36A #SH 32003, "Pearl Harbor Defender". Review here http://kits.kitreview.com/sh32003reviewbg_1.htm by Brett Green. I am on a bit of "Nordic" mission atm with the SH 32044 Fiat G.50-II Freccia, J-29 Tunnan and J-8 Gladiator. Thank you very much for your kind help as always! Best regards Zack
  23. Hi again, I would like to build a model of a H-75 Hawk in Finnish colors. A little bit to late to commemorate the Finnish independence day but anyway. From what I understand the Finnish Hawk's were sold by the German's and were part of captured aircraft originating from the defeated French air-force but also from the Norwegian campaign. So most likely very different batches and versions. And this is were I need help again! Would anyone be able to advise on the Interior color on these Hawk's? Did the Germans repaint them? What was the color in the cockpit? Gear bays? Landing gear? Any external differences (kit at hand is the 1941 P-36 Pearl Harbor Defender)? Armament? So many questions - so little olut... I have seen the very nice walk around on this site, thank you BM Thank you for stopping by and have a really nice day! Zack
  24. Dear All, Battling on. I mentioned there is an issue with the assembly of the air intake and the cockpit tube: I am fighting this as follows: I have cut the tub in three pieces and I am going to let the stearing column, the IP and the seat sit directly on the tube: In doing the dry assy's I dropped the IP coaming and tried to catch it with my legs. And I succeeded... But broke the part in two. DennisGoToBed... As always; Stay safe, stay sane and Happy Modelling! Zack
  25. Dear All, Thank you for taking interest in this build, your input and comments are allways most wellcome! I am not clever enough to understand how you manage to get more then one quote into a reply so i will just go slow here... @Biggles87 I share the fascination, sort of a guppy (think Dory), but I guess that "beauty is in the eye of the beholder"... @Chief Cohiba Please join and "disturb" as much as you like, most wellcome! Nice reference picture and I am looking forward to your "1/48 Hobby Boss"! My father was based in Vienna for 5 years and we wanted to see the J29 on display but we never got around to.
