  1. Thanks for the kind words gents. FalkeEins, the aerial was made using "invisible mending thread" glued at the aerial end 1st, then looped back through the tail. You then superglue the loop on itself & snip off the excess. Then I just build up where the tensioners & insulators are meant to be with white canopy glue applied with a cocktail stick, and paint the aerial using thinned enamels.
  2. Hi All! Here's Uffz. Felix Sauer's 109F/B "White 3" of 10./JG53 that he crash landed on a beach near Pozzalo, Sicily 1942. The kit is the Hasegawa BF109F4 that I converted into a Jabo version by adding a spare Eduard bombrack and SC250 Bombs left over from their "E" series kits. The Prop spinner & blades were replaced with resin items (thanks Ralph) the rest is pretty much OOTB. Unit Markings used were supplied with Kagero's book "Topcolours JG53 - Pik-A's", these were excellent decals to use. The rest of the crosses, stencils etc. are Eduard. Paints used were mainly Tamiya Acryllics, with oils & AK products used for weathering. Hope you enjoy! all comments welcome. Dan
  3. Thanks for all the comments Gents, much appreciated.
  4. Hi PC2012, I believe from memory it was XF-24 Dark Grey, then I lightened it with a dab of sky to break up some of the panels. It's a good colour to play with.
  5. Hi all, 1st posting on this forum, here's Tumpy's '72 Sea Fury I built earlier last year. The markings are a mixture of the kit ones, so accuracy isn't exactly a strong point with this one.....it was more of a 1st test build after building Armour for quite some time. I am aware now of some of the kits faults, but it was a nice simple build. Tamiya paints were used, with oils for weathering. All comments welcome!
