  1. Hello everyone. It has been a while since I have been here, lack of time I'm affraid . Here is my Mini, which I have finished few months ago. I've entered it to the competition in Telford, hopefully any of you who have been there seen it. Different approach this time, rusty, tired of it's life and it's owner Mini. Scratch built items inside, few details in the engine bay. Pictures will (I hope) show the rest. Sorry for random order of pictures but my pc is playing up.
  2. They're surely are. Fabia is on my list, actually it was suppose to be my next one, but other ideas came. But it will be done (someday), and the upcoming Polo WRC as well.
  3. Thanks! It's a great model to build, (almost) everything fits nicely. Watch out for front shocks, pins on them are molded wrong way, so it's a bit of bother for them to fit. Rollcage is also a bit fidly, but I'm sure you'll manage just fine. Good luck!
  4. Thanks. To make mud I've mixed baby talc, sand(any type, mines from kids sandpit), then I've added some colour (dry pigments are best, but I've used bit of tamiya acrylic desert yellow). Mix that thorougly and add pva glue. After that goes water, but at this stage You must be very carefull, if You add to much You'll have a runny soup. Mix needs to be thick enough to spread with a brush. And then just have fun putting it on a model, more pattern random the better.
  5. Welcome everyone! This is my first attempt at doing a dirty rally car. As a base I have used Italeri Mercedes 230 g, a model which I have done maaany years ago, back in time of brush painting. My target was to recreate a after stage dirty look. Hopefully You'll like it.
  6. I really like them. You've even done the panel lines, which are always a good adition and nice detail. Congrats!!
  7. Nice little thing. Couple of improvments and your next one, the 2CV, will be a real beauty.
  8. Exactly my cup of tea, great execution, superb model!!!
  9. I like the red one,it's something different. Can you tell me, what sort of model is that citroen type h?
  10. I've (tried) to build this, as my first model after good 10 years of not touching any models, and must admit, if that would be my first ever I would chuck it in a bin, and forget all about it. That was still time, when I was brush painting, and those awfull figures just sucked all the paint. I don't remember how many times I've tried, it was just dissapearing. So good luck in building, and plenty of patience.
  11. I got this kit as a present for my bithday last year, so I'll be watching closely. Please tell us how fiting looks, because this being a AMT kit, I have my doubts.
  12. Its a LHD polish import, 652cc air cooled. I was after one of those for ages, and must admit got very lucky with this one. Got it from a fellow modeller, just few miles from where I stay. It has been fully resprayed and the engine was fully rebuilt. it starts first time, and runs smoothly. It was stationary for last 2 years, kept in a garage so I had to replace brake shoes, and slave cylinders, plus new steering box went in and brand new track rod ends. Still needs couple of tweeks, but hopefully it will be on the road soon. No, unfortunatelly no.
  13. Yeah, nothing like a sound of that little air cooled thing, I'm actually restoring one now - a 1990 Fiat 126 (not far now - I hope). Nice model, BTW, but You could have cleaned it from dust before taking pics.
  14. Really nice shine, and great finish. One thing, I won't let slip, are those awfull seam lines on tyres, which in my opinion are ruining otherwise beautifull and stunning model.
