  4. Greetings Completed the Airfix kit today . I was very pleased with this kit. Well engineered, plenty of detail and I didn't screw it up for the most part. Kit was Out Of Box with exception of wine seal material Seat-belts. I used Vallejo Paints for Desert tan/pink scheme. I used Uschi Chrome powder for leading edge finishes. Gunxe GX-100 for Gloss and Gunze Flat for Final Finish. I used Kits World decals except for Insignia,I used the kit decals and they were great. I really wanted to use all the kool stencils from the decal sheet ,however Gulf War overpaint eliminated that option . I used Burnt umber Oil paints for most of panel line washes as reference show quite a worn scheme. I also had a bunch of photos from Hendon Imperial Museum Buccaneer for some reference. How can you not love the huge braking paddles and wing fold look...PS Save some display cabinet space... Thanks for Looking Comments are Always Welcome Cheers Bill D.
  5. Greetings I used Alclad High Shine Polished Aluminum over Gloss black Tamiya Spray can decanted. I used different Alclad sheens for panels after couple days drying. Over-coated with Alclad Aqua Gloss Cheers Bill
  6. Greetings and thanks fo great feedback. Natural metal was achieved with Alclad High Shine Polished Aluminum and after a few days curing, I used different shapes for panels. All accomplished over Tamiya Gloss Black Spray can and sealed with Alclad Aqua Gloss. Cheers Bill
  7. Greetings This is my last Hartmann aircraft.(for a little bit) This is the very nice Hobbycraft F-86 Canadair Mk 6 with slated wing. Flown by Erich Hartmann after his rejoining of the West German Air Force. A few additions to kit, sugar scoops on fuselage sides, wine bottles seal seatbelts, scratch-built intake F.O.D. covered added a missing vent on upper port fuselage. The model was completed with Alclad metals over gloss black Tamiya rattle can. Sealed with Alclad Aqua Gloss. Markings are from the Peddinghaus manufacturer. They are a bit of challenge to cut each decal but they work fantastic and settle down super. The clear mostly disappears over the Alclad Aqua Gloss Thanks For Looking Comments Always Welcome Cheers Bill D
  8. Thank you for the compliments I did use a few of the kit stencils and found them to be very nice..Thin and settled nicely with Solvaset. Cheers Bill
  9. Thanks to all for the great feedback..Refreshing model build.🌝
  10. Greetings This is a brain -flush model...Just a simple build out of Box. I ignored the discussion regarding the intakes shapes. This was the Hobbyboss kit that I can't say enough about..Great fit amazing clear parts. Decals from IPMS USA 2022 Nationals. Numerous shades of Alclad over Tamiya Gloss Black (decanted). Sealed with Aqua clear gloss and the decals clear disappeared. Thanks for Looking Comments Always welcome Cheers Bill
  11. Greetings Here are a couple of 109s completed this week. The 109G-6 is the Tamiya kit constructed out of Box with Peddinghaus Hartmann markings. This is the best engineered kit I have ever built in my life. I used Gunze paints on both aircraft and Uschi line for Antenna wires The 109G-10 Earl was a Revell kit with a resin wing,Resin Prop and spinner,Resin Exhausts and Metal Landing Gear. I also used a resin interior and Eduard Steel Belts. I also used Master gun barrels and Pitot (Great products). Decals were from all over my stash. Fun Builds Thanks for Looking Comments are always welcome Cheers Bill
  12. I scored this kit for $10.00 USD at a show and it was a great deal. The kit goes together fantastic and the "many" decals were unbelievable. . Out of box except for the seatbelts that were made from wine bottle seal materials. Used Revell paints except Uschi powders on exhaust metals and GX-100 Clear from Gunze for decal base and final overcoat. This kit was pleasure to build and the challenge of the many deals kept me on my toes. Took a few days as I applied decals and allowed sections to seat and dry before adding more. I used Solvaset over the decals and produced great look. Turkish Crescent on underside was really cool. Off to find a Mirror for this one. Thanks all for looking Comments are always welcome Cheers Bill
  13. Thanks for all the positive feedback Bill
