  1. Thanks for the kind words and as the thread is still here I have decided to continue. Today the Limoges Grand Prix Classic has been taking place and the local countryside has been reverberating to the growls from large bore exhausts. I went to one of the local towns this afternoon and saw many of them coming in the opposite direction and was overtaken by several on the return journey, when most people slowed down to let them pass. Amongst the throng were several Minis, MG Midget, Roadsters and GTs, Renault Alpines, AC Cobras, 3 GT 40, and more Porches than you could shake a stick at. Lovely. Stay safe. John
  2. Nice finish on the seat, I always think that Italian WW II ones look like they’ve been fitted the wrong way round! Perhaps the pilots were all short with disproportionately long thighs ( sorry Giorgio ). Waiting eagerly for more. John PS: I am definitely going to try to make something of my 21st Century ‘202 when yours is finished, I’ve just bought some Lifecolor italian paints and am planning on using the Eduard LooK Plus set which includes IP, seat harness, canopy masks and wheels.
  3. I also like the look of the Marauder, I started the Monogram version many years ago ( in brittle dark green plastic ) but don’t remember finishing it. John
  4. Marten, chasing a cat ( they look very pretty but they’re vicious )
  5. themselves. Only the lonely ( cue for a song? )
  6. There is a two seat Hurricane flying and it’s not as easily distinguishable from the single seater as a Spitfire two seater is, perhaps it’s that. Talking to one of our French friends yesterday who tells me that the Armée de L’Air is training Ukrainian pilots which could account for the recent increase in PC-21s around here. EDIT: just read the post from @Paul821, if you lived there in May 2019, one of the Spitfires would have been carrying me!
  7. family, mum dad and ( nucular is one of my pet hates. The current fashion seems to be dropping the G from the end of ‘ ing ‘ words. )
  8. ‘Ello ‘ello ‘ello, what’s
  9. Another two PC-21s in trail heading south just below the cloud base ( about 800ft agl ), which ‘spotter dog’barked at!
  10. Definitely taking on the shape, have you tried gliding it yet? 😁 John
  11. Turbo charged mobility chariots ( supermarket trollies are called chariots here in LBF )
  12. Excellent work on the airbrake interior, and the nose looks good to me. The early Harriers had blade antennas just behind the cockpit with an aircraft silhouette on them, presumably the manufacturer’s logo. Many years ago when I travelled to work at Heathrow on the A30, before the M3/M25 connection was open I frequently saw a Landrover with two of them on the roof! John
  13. Yesterday and this morning I heard what sounded like a PC-21 doing aerobatics close by, and at 1400 one passed overhead heading north. I noticed that our 13 month Golden Retriever was also watching its progress, he’s turning into a spotter. Not the first of ours to do so over 40 years, SWMBO blames me.
  14. Beautiful John. I hope it’s take off with the undercarriage only half way up/down that close to the ground! 😁 John
