  1. If you mean this........... Not really sure, but my guess would be some sort of cradle/stretcher/seat, but it looks a bit heavyweight for that? Ralph @Chewbacca or Crisp @Ex-FAAWAFU might be able to help I did find this online also, but may be a bit speculative ......
  2. Very interesting idea Bill. I'm sure you are aware, but in case not, that picture is shown much enlarged here: https://www.shipsnostalgia.com/media/broadsword-lynx.340396/ Bit of a mess really, but things could have been so much worse! And there is a nice picture here of same airframe, long after the event, so that we have the "Happily Ever After" bit! https://abpic.co.uk/pictures/view/1061318 T.
  3. Not as long as a certain Vosper ............. 🤫 Very impressive work on those funnel stays. You have trained Sid very well. Terry
  4. Oooh look, first post of the year..... Have to agree with Steven, they do look rather amazing, but then we have come to expect no less! T.
  5. Glad to see you back on this one Beefy. Very impressed with that crane and the lockers. The crane is especially exquisite. Great stuff. Terry
  6. Wow, I've not checked on this one this year so far, so first a very belated Happy New Year Giorgio! I see much excellent work on this bird, mostly improving on the kit. Nice job on the U/C bays (great example of hairspray chipping) and the wing root intake issue surprised me for a Tamiya kit, but your fix has been very cleverly implemented. The work replacing Tamiya's attempt at exhausts under and behind the cowling looks extremely accurate. Very neat use of brass tube. As usual, a fantastic update. Terry
  7. A mega result Bill ..... with such a tiny subject too. There is a saying I like which was levelled at me by my flying instructor once when I'd finally mastered cross wind landings and I'll use it here ..... You nailed that one for sure! Well done T.
  8. Sorry to hear that pneumonia has struck again Bill, some time down in Florida sounds like a good plan. The rest of that list sounds very familiar to this grandad! We didn't get snow storms in this part of the world, but appear to have had floods of a somewhat biblical nature! The visit to Ireland sounds cool. I spent much time over there (the northern bit) back in the 70's when I was with MOD. Didn't enjoy that much at all given what was going on at the time, although my time being shown around the refurb sheds at Short Bros (as was) housing the good old Canberra PR9 was fun. As for the the Republic itself, 3 vacations there over the years were delightful experiences, particularly in the Western part. Can't wait to go back there, which Mrs T and I are planning sometime in the next year or so. I also apparently had a rather good night in Dublin as the host of the tech company EMC (even got flown there in their private jet). I say apparantly as I have very little recollection of the actual after my n'th (a number tending towards infinity) pint of Guinness ..... Perhaps Tony @TheBaron or @Marklo can offer advice! Terry
  9. I've been looking for one of these for years. If I ever find one, I probably couldn't afford it!
  10. She's looking good Bill (of course), good luck at the club! Terry
  11. That sounds like a reasonable idea Martin. I'll have a look at that one! Terry
  12. That will be worth seeing, although having built the SH kit myself, I'm not convinced with (nor entirely happy with) its look when finished. Not the best of pictures, but .......... To me at least, that shape isn't right. I used a Tasman conversion of an old Hasegawa offering to create this one: Roll on August! Terry
  13. Happy Anniversary to you both! My thoughts exactly! You are aging very very well Johnny! Terry
  14. Happy New Year to our master modeller! What a great way to start the year, by showing us the splendid results of your abilities in CAD, and talking us through the rationale of your decision on such important components as the Wasp transparencies, which are surely key to getting this model to look just perfect. I confess that I did actually mutter a "yesssss" out loud when I read that you had decided that vacuum forming was still the desired route for these parts! ..... and it helps us lesser than lesser 3D mortals figure out how on earth you are doing this! By the way, I do like that tinting to the cabin roof transparencies. Looks just right. Will you try and use pre coloured PTEG (I've no idea if that exists), or have the builder use tinted paint or similar? Terry
  15. I think that probably explains my slow build rate as I have at least a dozen on the go (and on the shelf of doom) at any one time. In my youth, building one at a time, I could knock them out very quickly! Terry
  16. It's comforting to know that I am not alone in the build rate stakes! Terry
  17. As you may see from a few likes appearing on this build this morning, I am later than ever catching up with this superb build Rob. The RFI actually led me here, and it's been very worthwhile catching up on your modelling techniques and amazing paint/finishing work. Your 2023 builds all look splendid, and you continue to be an inspiration to me for sure, and many others on here I'm sure. Nah ............. that's nothing Stuart, I can top that with knobs on! Terry
  18. A very neat and colourful result. Should look good with the other racers. Must be quite a few of them now. Terry
  19. Looking good Martin. The glossed up black has come up a treat. Terry
  20. That was a good result on the replacement fuselage. This is now coming along splendidly Stuart. Thanks also for the link to Moa's site, I'd forgotten how inspiring his stuff is. A belated Happy New Year by the way! Terry
  21. The great progress continues Ian, and as others have said that rib work is very subtle but just the job. I've promised myself that I will pay particular attention to your rigging process, so that one day I might actually finish the Aeroclub Gamecock that I started as a WIP in May 2019 ............. I know, shameful! 🥲 Keep inspiring me Ian! Terry
