  1. Hope you get that crack sorted ok Matt. Your plan seems sound but suspect you will need local paint over spray. The silver looks superb. Terry
  2. Methinks I'd better watch what I say...... Terry "Vosper, what happened to that"!
  3. Brilliant and very authentic result! I have an old airfix one on my shelf of doom, which I have spent some time trying to get the nose right. It's just about ready for paint. Maybe I'll do it at last. Thanks for sharing. Terry
  4. Superb work, nay craftsmanship, Bill. This splendid piece is coming together beautifully. And is that looks very like an S-61 sponson I can see in that first picture, but perhaps not? Terry
  5. Good spot Alan. At first I wasn't sure but yes. Good man Ced, you can sort it! Terry
  6. That looks superb Matt. Worth the extra effort entirely IMHO. Terry
  7. Now now, we don't want any of that here. This is a good clean nautical thread! Terry
  8. Not much help will come from me just yet I'm afraid due to some frustrating delays in acquiring the skills myself, linked entirely to needing a major system software and hardware upgrade. As my wife has observed many times, IT "stuff" doesn't happen quickly with me, having spent much of my working life in IT. I think I have Busman's holiday aversion syndrome! I thought you were more of a SIHRSC file man myself Bill. Now we've not heard mention of one of those in a while ............... 😆 Terry
  9. Over there, over where? We Seaking here We Seaking there Those finescale modellers Seaking everywhere If you should Seaking, please do give a yell That damned elusive @Ex-FAAWAFU! Terry
  10. Starting to get those intakes "Giorgio'd" I see. We expected nothing less of course! Terry
  11. The Gals are looking good Ced. Can't wait till they sprout some wings! Terry
  12. Completely understand that. I lost my modelling mojo for aviation, maritime and AFV subjects at the back end of last year. I felt I needed a break, not so much from modelling, but for something different. Some finescale P4 work has ensued in the last few weeks with two locomotive projects now underway, but not very fast! Garden projects also call, and one new shed was completed last month and the second is in planning. Other cultivative work is also in hand. Your pioneering and very skillful work on the Vixens must have taken a toll, and a rest is surely deserved, if not needed. Such a relief that you have not gone skiing with Steve .............. you could have been gone for years! Terry
  13. Happy Birthday @AdrianMF. So you mean you have finished it already and no WIP! Terry
  14. You mean like this one. I think I got it free with a magazine some years ago. I'd started to hollow out the cockpit and sort the underbelly intake etc. There is even a scratch built seat in the first picture on the large piece of plastic sheet, waiting for the Brengun seat straps. It has been on the "must finish" list for some time............. Terry
  15. A nice distraction Ced. I have a couple of those Eduard 1/144 spitfires and they are really quite superb little kits. The mobile sounds great, but be warned ........ when one of my eldest two (twins of course) was still quite baby like (he is 41 now), he was fascinated by a twinkly blue mobile I had made from paper, foil etc, all in the shape of birds and aircraft. Thinking it a good idea to hold him up closer to the arial display of light, shape and colour, he became quite fixated with it all, and before I knew it, had swiped across the whole lot with one hand, bringing them all down in one go! Interesting that this particular son went on to become a software engineer developing missile system software in the defence industry. I reckon that early experience gave him a taste for bringing things back down to earth! I'll follow this one with a keen eye and a magnifying glass! Terry
  16. Oooh. A neat little Gnat. Now that's a nice choice. But no WIP 😱 Terry
  17. I'd go for the silent routine, eventually he might think we don't care! 🤐 on second thoughts. it's not working on those Hawks.......... Terry
  18. Been there also, close call indeed! That underside grey looks the biz. Terry
  19. I reckon we should start a #metooforaseakingreturn 🤔 @perdu Terry
  20. What a stunning result from an old classic Guy. I made one of these many years ago, but nothing to this standard. Well done! Terry
  21. I see you are into locomotives too Mike ...... snap! I've recently been heavily distracted that way, and I'm currently re building an old Kemilway etch chassis for the Airfix Mogul, to P4 scale (4mm), amongst other things! Need to source a Mogul for the body yet. Scratchbuilding a Black 5 or a Mogul will be quite a challenge I reckon, good luck! I'll rummage through my books and plans to see what I have. Terry
  22. Wow. These came out looking superb John. A very nice IDF collection you have built up now. Terry
  23. Lovely job. Especially like that Arctic striped Sea King! Terry
