  1. The main paint is now on. I intend to do one more layer in light grey and then the gloss overcoat. Cheers, Jaka!
  2. A few new pics. This is about 1/3rd of the paint that is going on. Cheers, Jaka.
  3. The scribing is now finally over. Thank god. I primed it with tamiya primer and then did the preshading with vallejo black. This was my first time using a new airbrush, so there were some spills, but im very satisfied with it. I plan to paint it with valleyo light gray in differend shades, so the wide preshading lines wont be that visible. Here is a pic. Cheers, Jaka.
  4. Hey guys, I need help again. Any idea how to fix the 1mm holes? If by any putty or filler which brand and what type? Thank you, Jaka
  5. Simply amazing. My girlfriend loved how clean it looks. Did you do the riveting?
  6. Hey. I use tamiya scriber. You are very welcome to see my WIP: http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/234960288-132-hasegawa-f-5-tiger-ii/ Cheers!
  7. Hey guys! I am grateful that you responded in such way. I found some pictures of the underbelly and tried to follow them as you all suggested. Also the raised panel lines are quite a good template. However I'm not as skilled to be able to scribe everything correctly and accordigly to the real deal. I will scribe the majority of the panel lanes there, but some of them exceed my skills by far. Thank you very much for all the responses, I'm trully amazed by your willingness to help me. Cheers Jaka.
  8. Hello guys. I need some help regarding scribing the underside of the plane. As the picture shows, the underside has a lot of panel lines. My question is: Do you scribe all of them or only the major ones. The progress can be seen here. : http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/234960288-132-hasegawa-f-5-tiger-ii/ Thank you for your help. Jaka
  9. The upper fuselage is now more or less scribed. Some filler has to be applied on the mistakes still. I will sand the whole plane when I scribe it. Here are some pics. Suggestions and criticism are welcome. The mistake from last picture is now fixed. Cheers, Jaka.
  10. Hey, they are on the first picture. It is a hasegawa riveter and tamiya scriber. For the template I use dymo tape. I am very satisfied with all of them.
  11. It has been a while as I was waiting for all my tools to arrive. After a week the front part is more or less finished. I'm still waiting for a template to do all the small lines and rivets. I am quite pleased with the result, though the kit looks like a plastic surgery gone very bad The struggle is real
  12. Very nice. Amazing work on the front part.
  13. I had a bit more time this weekend. The cockpit is now complete. When i get my scriber and riveter, i shall begin with the process. Here are a few pics from the build.
  14. A small update at the end of the week. The right side is now done (maybe a few repairs still) and has been dry brushed with tamiya gun smoke. I hope you like it and if you find some mistakes or sloppiness feel free to comment. Looks better in real life though. Cheers Jaka
  15. I'm half finished with the instrumental panel. Here is a pic. It still needs a few repairs.
  16. Hey. I've build this one 6 months ago. The engine looks great, especially if you consider the age of this kit (early 70s I think). Small tip. When you are building the wings and main fuselage, make sure you do it all at once, as the design of this kit and the age, make that part of the build a bit tricky. There can be a huge gap when you join fuselage and the wings. Cheers, Jaka.
  17. As promised. The first pic of the cockpit. This is the base colour. Other shades will be added in a few days. There is a mess up on the main part, which will be fixed soon. Thanks for following!
  18. Thank you for all your comments. I watched some videos on youtube and I think I can do it. The 6-8 hours that you said are quite a lot, but I think I'll manage. Le Vander, I didn't notice any templates in those videos. Can you please explain how to use them. For the templates I wanted to use the already raised panel lines. The cockpit is now painted. Pics will follow soon. Cheers!
  19. Hello fellow modelers. For my next project I decided to build my favourite jet fighter the Northrop F-5E Tiger II. After opening the box, the first thing I noticed was that I didn't have reccessed panel lines. The model is from 1987 (as old as me ) so this is not a big deal. Therefore I'm asking the comunity if I should just build it as it is or should I scribe the panel lines. In my opinion i think I should scribe them. I would appreciate your comments. Any suggestions on what tool to use would be welcome to. Pics will come soon. Cheers, Jaka.
  20. I think it was green and red. Therefore the missing paint. However montex took off a bit more than i wanted.
  21. The model is finished and available for inspection here: http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/234960237-132-hasegawa-ki-84/ Cheers, Jaka.
