  1. Hello my friends, Greetings from Colombia. I need help. O am building the Monogram 1/48 scale Catalina and I want to paint it with the livery of the Catalina used to rescue the survivors of the USS Indianapolis. The new Atlantis/Monogram old Catalina shows this possibility but I want to know if this marking is correct. Thank you very much EDUARDO
  2. Thank you very much for your very complete response. However, the final decision: light aircraft gray or aluminum silver. Or both would be eventually correct. It is amazing that such a supposedly simple subject can be so much controversial.
  3. Hello my friends, I am building the Monogram Grumman F3F-3 Navy Fighter with the colors used in the USS Yorktown. Can anybody tell me the color of the fuselage? Some people say it is light flat gray, others that it is silver. Who is right? Thanks a lot EDUARDO
  4. Yes Rob, if I can help you scanning, something I have and you might want, let me know. EDUARDO
  5. Thank you very much for the pages. I appreciate your help. Incidentally, why do you hate scanning? I myself love it!!
  6. Again thanks a lot. I will continue to patiently look on Ebay. I think it is the best bet. I never heard about the Revell book. Can you please give me more information?
  7. Hello Rob, Thank you very much for your information and link. Very nice Highway Pioneers. I personally have at the present time 18 of them nicely built and kept!!! My intention is to obtain all of them and I hope I will. I have found several on Ebay but sometimes sellers want a fortune for certain models. If any information is found, I appreciate you or any other of the members can help me. Thanks again!!
  8. Hello my friends. I am completing, slowly but firmly, my collection of Revell Highway Pioneers plastic car kits. I am missing just a few but in order to have everything straight, I would like to have the full and definitive list of all the models made by Revell or any other company who had the moulds. I also want to obtain the instructions sheet for the 1910 Pierce Arrow. I just got one from Ebay at a very good price and complete excepting the instructions. If anybody out there can scan a copy, I would appreciate it very much. I also want to have the sign or emblem that appeared on the 1904 Oldsmobile Truck. I haven't being able to find it on the web. A nice photo would be fine because I print my own decals. Thanks for your help, my friends and greetings from Colombia. EDUARDO
  9. Thank you very much. I'll see what I can find. Best wishes from Kolumbien!!!
  10. Thanks guys. The photo apparently shows the enlarged intake, so I can think it was the C version.
  11. Well, i have checked with other sources, including Powers book "Operation Overflight" and following his description of the aircraft, it is a C model. But that doesn't mean it is final. I think there is a big controvery on this issue. I will try to find the book you tell me, Thanks!!!
  12. Hello my friends, Greetings from Colombia. I am looking for a detailed three view plan with full details of the Lockheed U-2C Spyplane. My intentions are to design a highly detailed card scale model in 1/33 scale. After checking the web I have not been successful obtaining this information. Perhaps you guys can help me. It has to be the U-2 C model because this is the version that was shot down over Russia on May 1, 1960 causing the famous U-2 Incident and is the model I want to make to commemorate the 58th. anniversary of this very famous happening. Thank you and best wishes!! EDUARDO
  13. Thank you very much my friends. I'll try "paint" my card He-111 as accurate as possible and as soon as I finish it, I will post here a couple of sheets so you can confirm me if I was accurate. EDUARDO
  14. Hello all my friends. This might be a little outdated, but I am desperately looking for the interior colours of both undercarriage wheel wells, doors and cabin interior, also struts and wheels of the Heinkel He-111 of the Battle of Britain with only splinter camouflage- It is incredible how many different discussions have appeared regarding the correct interior colours of Luftwaffe aircraft, I am repainting a card scale model of the He-111 and I want to do it as accurate as possible without exaggerating or becoming an obsession. Thanks lot.!!!
  15. Since I couldn't find how to post a picture here, I changed my avatar on the left. That's me, 5, sitting on my father's Tri.-Pacer circa 1951. The local Aero club's site near Bogotá. Can anybody tell me how to post the pictures on a reply?
