Hi. Just had a look in the Walkround section at the HU Mk5 Commando, fifth (?) image down shows a blade with the tip sock on and a metal LE to the blade.
Hope this helps.

Thanks Colin,
I had a look in the walk round, nothing 100% conclusive so I think I won’t be to anal about it and if the mood takes me I’ll paint it anyway it will add interest if nothing else.

That is such a small model and I’m gobsmacked how well that’s turned out, but if you are modelling in N gauge as well this was a walk in the park!

Calling @heloman1 or anyone who can help, would the leading edge of the main rotor blades be gunmetal?

Perfect yellow, and. A very nice build, good job!

That’s a stunning build, no hiding place with those close ups! Great WIP and finished model, good job!

Drop tanks look the business, word of warning, attachment points on the Eduard kits are minimal to say the least l’ve had to pin drop tanks to get a secure fit.

Tail rotor painted along with the main rotor head, the decals from the kit are excellent and work really well but I know I will have to paint the edges so might as well paint!
Main rotor in real life looks hugely complicated, lots of wires and pipes, so not going to try embellishing it but will try to add a bit of interest by detail painting.
Getting there, main body needs a gloss varnish and the some weathering, albeit subtle, then a fair bit of details to add.
