  3. Neither -the notes were my fathers who worked for Transmeridian/ Heavylift with the Belfast . Good set of notes including the joyful undercarriage retraction sequence !
  4. Hi Mike If it is of any help I have a copy of the ground training school notes for the Belfast that has a wealth of info on interior arrangements , hatches etc... please let me know what you need and I can scan the relevant pages and try to work out how to upload them !
  5. It was an industrial searchlight manufactured by the Strong Electric Co in the USA adapted for flight use and was indeed two carbon rods striking each other to produce the light. I work for a company that purchased the drawing pack to manufacture parts for the Nimrod fleet back in the day
