  1. Thanks Nikola, I've tried so many different acrylic clears, and all have seemed to take an age to dry. I'll give you suggestion a go John
  2. Super build, super photography. All in all, bostin! John
  3. The ideas members have here and the execution of their work never ceases to amaze me. Really top notch stuff tc John
  4. Now I want to build it like the photo above. But the decals are bought.....Anyway, it progresses......... Fuselage halves joined. Decided to open up the moulded doors on the intakes, and replace with plasticard Almost wish I wasn't going on holiday now! Cheers John
  5. Yep, Aim 9L. You can pick them up in the hasegawa weapons set v us missiles and launcher set
  6. Okay, so youre a bit further on than me! Looking good, especially the weathering. These planes were never clean. Great job John
  7. Post your progress. Be interesting to see how the two come together
  8. This is why I don't build bi-planes, the rigging sends me running. This is an absolutely superb job. Love the prop too. Fantastic
  9. So that's the tub put together. I've also opened a space for the LRMTS window which is just a solid mould on the kit Could be a while before any further update, a week in sunny Corfu beckons! Cheers all John
  10. Here we go then. After much deliberation, I've chosen to build my Jag as "Buster Gonad", as flown during Operation Gransby in 1991. The kit is the Hasegawa 1/72 Jaguar, a fairly old tool but one which has stood the test of time. I'll add some depth to the panel lines (they're a little shallow for me OOB, and these aircraft were dirty). I'll make use of the Pavla MB Mk9 ejection sheet, detailing set from Eduard and the lovely decal sheet from the Aviation Workshop (which will still leave me with enough decals to complete "Johnny Fartpants" and "The Fat Slags" to give me the full Viz set). Early days, really looking forward to this one. John
  11. Great build there. I'm just starting the Hasegawa kit, and going to finish it as either "Johnny Fartpants" or "Buster Gonad". I see you used Testors paints for the finish. What code for the Desert Sand? John
