    I've been at this boaty thing for nearly a year and have finally finished it, no thanks to work commitments. Not a maritime modeller at all and more into the tracked vehicles but Inspired by other posts in this section, absolutely love them now…… However I'm no maritime expert and have taken a lot of time and viewed other models to finish this one. I have based the colour scheme on the 9th u-foltille out of Hamburg (please correct me if I'm wrong) but haven't based it on any particular boat. ​loved this model as the weathering was very challenging and loved every minute of it. ​Will try and post some more closer photos soon…..     to be fair, don't know much about them, though my Dad was a submariner !! I think the colour scheme is that of the 9th u-foltille at hamburg. just the rigging and final fixing of the AA guns and were done.

    Great work, love the scheme and great weathering... this is my next build after i finish my VII c u boat (only taken about a year!!!) will definitely use yours as a reference. love it

    great build and love the weathering, great reference for mine which just finishing……... im not a sea goer but after seeing all the floatly things (and sinky things) on this page love em…….. gonna be a push to compete with all the other great builds but will try. Love it…..

    very nice in deed, love the weathering. as stated above using as reference for my 1/144th, which should be complete in few weeks……. lovely detailing, great build.
