  1. With this painting will be suitable probably.
  2. Very good job with painting. Personally I like the first photo with undersides the best. I saw such an effect on the pictures with P-40. I will leave it at this stage. 😃
  3. Is this Otaki, Arii or LS like kit? Could please show us the sprues photo?
  4. And what do you think about blue star on the hub (same color as squadron blue) and insignia blue disc? If the disc hub was blue befor? It is possible? And I saw the decals in 48 scale and the name ''bouncin bette'' is red on it. Do you think it is possible? I think it is very hard to determine if it is blue or red from B/W photo. And the interresting is that the name on the top photo is in lighter shade and letters have darkest shadow of grey and on the bottom photo is vice versa. Same with the skirt of pin up. And yes I know the photos could be from different period.
  5. I would ask about weel hubs. T-bolt suggested that they could be blue. But I found an interresting photo of Bouncin Bette. On it, the hubs have stars painted. (don't know if on both) I have such element on my decal sheet. But they are standard dark blue (insignia) disc and white stars. Looking at the photo I doubt it could be possible that stars are white on hubs.... (comparing to stars under the wings). So what could be the color options in your opinion??? And the guns are silver....not painted 8-)
  6. Beautifull Fuad, what technic did you use to simmulate the salt marks? And it will be great to know what is from Eduard and what from Aires 😉
  7. Witaj Piotrze. Pozdrowienia z Wawy.
  8. I've put some decals..... The shade of blue is slighty different than my paint mix...... it needs a little correction. Now I'm getting ready myself for a lot of masking.
  9. I think you can't build Australian Beau without any changes. They were different.
  10. Still working on..... get the blues.....
  11. Hi, folks. I want to ask you about the flaps of Airacobra. Is that possible/common ? to have airacobra with flaps down? I didn't see a foto from airstrip with airacobra standing with flaps down.... I have a PART conversion set for flaps but hesitate to use it. Because of time I should spent to make this feature. And don't want to do this if such a situation isn't possible in reality.
  12. Tamiya one is the best in my opinion. I've built both of them Tamiya and Fine Molds. Tamiya is like LEGO briks. It is ''self build''. Fine Molds needs some attention.
  13. I started to paint the beast. Undersides at the beginning.
  14. The engine is in place.... the engine cover is fixed and the seat is in place to. I scrached the headrest becouse in Academy model it is squared and should be rectangular.
  15. The time is gone..... but I will continue the build. Yesterday I did some small stuff. First of all I reworked the main weels. I have to make the covers. I use some ready material 8-). This is some part of shirt packaging, it fit here perfectly. Than I shortened the main gear, which is much to long in the Academy (and Hasegawa) kit. And I use some photoetched parts for gear and tail wheel. Next were the tail wheel covers, I made them thinner and used some Plastruct sticks to simmulate internal structure. Use some etched to make bomb brackets. to be continued.....
  16. I made some tank holders yesterday.
  17. Outstanding job. Congratulations. Can you please make some better shots of mounting the belly tank ? I'm interested where the fuel pipes come to the main body?
  18. Today I worked with an engine cowling intake. I try to make it a little better and realistic. It looks for now clumsy but I will smooth it out with a putty and sandpaper... And the airplane neded a little putty to, but not to much.
  19. Amazing paintworks..... This looks very good.
  20. This is an early version Ki-43-I.
  21. There is some progress. But I doubt I can finish it on time. There is a lot of things to do with this JUG.
  22. I know I shouldn't. I have other projects opened. My B-25, P-47 and P-39 from other GB, all would fit here very well. But I voted for this too.... so I should put something here. I decided to take my Ki-43 Oscar from Fujimi. This is a model which I bought some years ago at an auction as a built. Now I have the parts dismantled and cleaned. It is very hard to dismantle wings and the halves of the main body. I will not do it cose I'm afraid to broke it. Still I think this is less than 25 percent ready. So, I do not have very much hope to do this, but to the end of december is a lot of time.... maybe it is possible. And this all should turn into this: courtesy of : Internet modeller (for discussion only)
  23. OK, it turns into airplane very well. The engine get the cables.
