Second query, as a side build to the above I have just bought Revells 1/144 U-boats and the griffon PE sets for the VIIC and VIID but does anyone have any ideas if there is a PE set for Revells 1/144 Type IIB? Regards Justin

Hi all, Well I did say my next WW1 project would be a wee Fokker, so without further ado! The obligatory box shot; Not much on the sprue! A start, new seat in the fuselage and some wood effect, plus started on the prop with some oil paints. Will wait tip its partially dry and take off the excess paint. Regards Justin

Hi all, So the project; A veritable WWII U-Boat fleet in 1/350. After doing some research I think I came up with close to 40 odd builds including the different Turms. Just the classes on their own makes 20 (operational U-boats only) and then you could add the midget boats in as well! I know that I won't find every single subject in the same scale, but after seeing the amount of boats on offer, I will give it a damn good thrashing! I also intend to build a few others, British and Russian mostly. My builds have started with my first boat Torbay (Otherwise known as Torgay!) But I do have one query, does anyone do a 1/350 Swiftsure class? Regards Justin

First go at Rigging - Academy Camel 1/72
justin1980 replied to Saddler's topic in Ready for Inspection - Aircraft
Great job! I don't know if this might help, I do my rigging of spars/struts in place before the top wing goes on. I have the wing rigging already attached to the top wing before placement which allows me to use much longer thread than needed, but I drill placement holes in the bottom wing all the way through. Then add and secure the top wing in place so I can pass the thread through the bottom holes and tighten the rigging sufficiently on the underside before adding CA to the underside hole. Then a close cut with a scalpel when the CA has dried and touch up the paint. I add the decals after the main wing rigging is done. Tail rigging is done after the decals though. It might work for you? Regards Justin -
The only ones I can find are black and white, there is a severe lack of pictures! http://www.aviationphotocompany.com/p390954246 You probably have found these too!
