  1. Another cracking hurricane, prefer the desert camo and the base sets it off nicely!
  2. Hi folks, Another one for the WW1 shelf! Don't know what to tackle next! I hope you like it as much as I do, tips, advice always welcome! Just found out that the radiator is on upside down, what a tool! Justin
  3. Hi all, The completed DVII, more in the RFI. Regards Justin
  4. I have this one in the stash so will be watching closely. Cracking interior though, and great tip on the WNW website for tips!
  5. Looks great, plus those photos show your wood grain better, it looks very good. Regards Justin
  6. Absolutely fantastic build of an old kit! I love the history behind the particular aircraft that you modelled. Brilliant.
  7. Almost there! Only the prop to finish, then washes and matt cote before rigging! Regards Justin
  8. All I can say is A fabulous model. I have seen a lot of Bismark builds but that is truly top class! How long did it take?
  9. Hi all, A very productive day, rib tapes, wings and struts applied, just noticed as I was about to attach the landing gear that some numpty has managed to decal the wrong side! What a spoon! Some touch ups required, then undercarriage, and final gloss prior to the rest of the decals. Then my favourite bits, matt cote and rigging! Justin
  10. Looking good Steve, and good to know that there are no issues so far.
  11. I bought the ebay package for £61 I think as I was using a crappy diaphragm compressor. The compressor is good, but anything above 25-30psi it will run loads and the piston does get very hot. Its been great other than that so far, no other issues. The chinese airbrushes are well a bit pants. I have used both and have stayed with my veda (another chinese copy airrush but slightly better) until I can I buy a new H&S next month. But for beginning to airbrush its pretty good, got me on my way.
  12. Hi folks, Decals arrived yesterday, I have had loads of time at the bench today! Some lozenge ! Some touch ups and trimming to do when dry then the rib tapes. I have went for the easy way out and used the decals length ways as it means less cutting and it still took and age! To me with the rib tapes on it should look pretty close. Regards Justin
  13. Fantastic finish Will! I love the obligatory matchbox shot!
  14. We'll foxy you don't hang about! The decking looks great, how are you going to show the interior detail on the lower decks? Through the gunports? Lighting may help as it will be pretty dark in there when all closed up I would imagine. Regards Justin
  15. Looking good Beefy, I hope the maskol chip effect comes off! Never tried it myself but have seen some great results.
  16. Just found this thread, wow! What a project, plus the fact that Mr Munro will be signing the plaque beside a model of his own aircraft makes this really special! Will be watching this one closely, a great start and I wish you very few parts of etch glued to fingers!
  17. Now that would be awesome! Don't know if I could stand glueing so many 1/700 matelots to the deck though !
  18. Looking forward to this one Nobby, the pics are cool and some family history to boot.
  19. A nice start with the PE Dave, PE is one of many that takes loads of practice, even the most experienced modellers will make a hash of it on occasion. My being an average modeller means I make lots of nice looking PE, it may not look like the instructions or pictures more like a modern art masterpiece in small scale!
  20. Absolutely fantastic, you have to love shiny aircraft!
  21. Thanks chuck, As I am a mottle camo newbie I was going to use it first on some scrap card to try out. But for the model I think some helping hands clamps would be beneficial. I will keep that in mind. I won't be free handing it until I buy a proper airbrush next month!
