  1. Sorry, was early in the morning when I read your post and replied! I will do some more research and see what I can come up with too!
  2. Thats looking fantastic ! Have you run around with it "playing" Aliens yet? I of course would never do that! Regards Justin
  3. Will be watching this one! What scale are you doing the albatross? Oops just read the other post doh! WNW 1/32 can't wait!
  4. A big fan of the series, all I can say is wow! That looks incredible! I love the lighting!
  5. Found these; http://www.abpic.co.uk/photo/1325538/ http://www.fleetairarmarchive.net/aircraft/harvard.htm http://www.abpic.co.uk/photo/1053118/ http://www.fleetairarm.com/exhibit/north-american-harvard-iii-ex976/2-4-12.aspx http://www.flickr.com/photos/flyvertosset/8458063736/ http://www.t6harvard.com/t6harvardpaintcolours.html Try those, your best bet is the last two I think. Hope it helps, Regards Justin
  6. That looks cracking Mark, Weathered we'll and looking like a real Atlantic work horse!
  7. I love the Verlinden figures, always good moulds, As for the eyes/face; Paint the white of the eyes first after priming the whole model, paint a brown dot for the pupil and iris, use brown for the upper eyelid and top lip, You can be messy with white and brown. Then use a a dark ochre for the face colour base, and lighten the ochre or flesh tone mildly with each new coat to create a depth of colour and some shadows. I then clear coat it, use pin washes for deeper shadows and some very light dry bushing for the highlights. You can follow the same technique for the rest of the clothing. I tend to paint the raised detail such as belts, buttons etc, then paint up to them on the clothing which is easier by far! But the biggest tip I can really give, is use top quality sable brushes. My figures have been twice as good from just a brush change! I hope this helps, Regards Justin
  8. Vallejo do a red brown surface primer, you can get it in three sizes, small dropper bottle, 60ml and then a 200ml I think. Although it says surface primer, I have used the bronze green surface primer for "primer" and the base coat. Hope this helps, Regards Justin
  9. That's a cracking build! The markings are superb!
  10. This is looking great, Will be watching as I have just got one of these myself. Regards Justin
  11. The next one will be the Einedecker, don't know what scheme but have a few in mind. But I totally agree The British schemes are well pretty much "British", standard all the way. The Germans on the other hand, have a lot of leeway for whatiffery and artistic interpretation! Well I would say my SE5a was OK but yours well that is amazing! Regards Justin
  12. Thanks guys! Yes up next will be a wee fokker! My stash of 1/72 WWI aircraft has had a small explosion as of late!
  13. Thanks Gents! appreciate the comments! I did enjoy how this one went so the next will be a wee german Fokker, Regards Justin
  14. Hi all, Well completed and have to admit a throughly enjoyable build the moulding is over 30 years old but builds easy and is a pleasure. Here we go; And for all the cockpit work, not much can be seen, apart from the Lewis magazine, new seat and belts and just barely the stick! Oh well! I think I am well and truly on the WWI aircraft now! Thanks for looking everyone, Regards Justin
  15. Hi all, Well its finished, tail rigged and photos done, will upload some more in the RIF section. Again thanks for looking, stay tuned for another string bag soon! Thanks all for looking in, Regards Justin
  16. They are looking fantastic, I especially love the Spad. How did you do the prop? Regards Justin
  17. I was thinking of buying this, http://www.ebay.com/itm/Profile-Publications-1-thru-262-Aircraft-DVD-PDF-/200815753384 Means I can transfer them to the iPad and have that close to the modelling desk, plus not have an already full pair of bookcases overflowing! Any thoughts? Regards Justin
  18. Thanks guys, really appreciated. I do think I rushed this one a bit, so the next ship I have kicked my own butt already and will take more time!
  19. Hope it all goes well and he gets out soon, Regards Justin
  20. Looks cracking, I like the the squadron pic too, keep going and you will soon have your own "big wing"!
  21. Hi guys, Washes done, matt varnish applied and highlights done. Dont know whether to rig the tail or not? And to paint the prop boss! Doh! Then final klear coat. Regards Justin
  22. Hi all, Well here she is, done and done. As per the WIP thread had some issues with this kit, so decided not to rig and call it done today, not my best build by a long shot, but that may be due to my mojo for the model was in constant swing! Regards Justin
