  1. Some more things done this saturday afternoon.... The cockpit inside walls are done, dryfitting it just to see how it looks...yep good enough for me.....the cocpit will be mounted much later, dont want to dammage it or get to dusty, cause more thigs are to be done, the cocpit will be mounted from underneath, not Hasegawa way accoring to manual, but i find it easier to do so and avoiding unneceray extra job later .... and other side.... allrigt, them fuselage halfes is not exacly perfect as can be seen, so ive glued front end first....and squeeze so platic bubbles up, and let it cure...then the rest...as i don use any clamps, only finger power, i do that, note them glue areas are free form paint....so when doing this way, no need for putty later, and the joint is pure kits plastic...then o do the rear end...same metod.....it got a strong bond... Cause the tension on them halfes ive used plastic card glued with CA glue temporary, remove the later when it all is cured... Now to rest....later this upcoming week....riveting .... So stay tuned...But Now A Big Well Deserved Beer ..... /Mal
  2. well... Now that antenna attachment on the fuselage....shure is poor documentation on that spot...but qualified guessing and looking... made a drawing to show, the red areas are CA glue, so that i got that insulator/connector in center, also it it slightly, just slighlty little higher, it makes it easier later to attach the antenna wire. perfect in the center of the hole.....this will du just fine for me... Closed the inside of them ventilation doors....dont want any light to get thru, in not done it may slip some light in and look weird when peeking inside the cockpit and it slips thhru them went doors , also cheap incurance not dropping them doors inside the fuselage when mounting them lol.... /Mal
  3. Thanks Roger. AKs chipping fluid i great to use. Read my experiance earlier about them colors on top on Aks... The results with Tamiya and Vallejo...the outcome is very different.
  4. First Blood.....Mal Dont Got Time To Bleed....lol....Well Builders Room for shure got stuff for first aid.. lol.....afterwards i mtook ca glue and it stopped ... Well them ventilation holes are upen now.....only got one try.....it is exacly to the edges of them previous....... Now..what the heck im goint to use for the new ones.....cut from thin brass sheet or plastic card....ill try different, one important thing is that them dor must follow fuselage curve .... /Mal
  5. Thanks Parabat....glad you keeo an eye on me Appriciate it alot as you provided me wit good info on theese wurgers /Mal
  6. now them gills...ventilation doors...read about them and they are called in german "Kühlschlitze" for those dont know where they are on a wurger i point em out .....just to show to them who follow this thread lurking what i mean... Thees will be cut away and scratched i slightly open ....small things that add to the whole... /Mal
  7. I Almost forgot one thing......forgot to make glass on that dial on the side panel....now it is there, also took a pic under a light so it all is seen.... now it is definitly done with cockpit...lol Now im in maybe or not them gills on the fuselage, if im going to open them up, wich means cut em away and scratch new ones or let them be closed......wich mean no scratch.....lol... /Mal
  8. Thanks Para...appriciate it... I really recomend them seatbelts. Next stop... that antenna attachment on the fuselage... insulator is going ti be scratched .... Needs to be done before fuselage halfs come together....
  9. Allright.. im finnished with the cockpit.... used Radub seatbelts....i love them, and they are indeed the best ive used so far...(in my short career, tried several different ones), the weathering were finnished with different very very subtile postshading, various colors.... This will do just fine for me....dirty enough... /Mal
  10. Sometimes even Mal is not pleased so redo.... show pics on the cockpi that im not pleased with... Better to do it right in early stages All this will be redone all down to bare plastic, yeah i do sound crazy....but wait...it will be good trust me and wait and see.......... Allright...all stripped plastic cleat lol...... Ready for Vallejo Primer... It is smooth and flawless... Next up preshade.....Tamiya redbrown first, then Tamiya black....on strategic spots.... ... next Alclad....and the AKs chipping fluid.... RLM 66, mixed German Grey with Sky Grey to lighten it up and i like that tone, it will be sligtly darker after washes, so easier to make things pop out, theese cockpits are dark in that pit lol.....so easier to make details pop out.... Next what we been waiting for lol....and it stands now up on Mals Standard, tjis will do just fine for me....also gloss is in place, next weathering this.....dingy dirt, Florys and oils... /Mal
  11. allright.... it all ended up like this after them photos (Thanks Parabat) and some more research and will do just fine for me.... /Mal
  12. Allrigt..... Got some redoing on that wire from the stick to do......error and trial....lol.... found this and im going for this look allready know what to use.....making it from guitar string d string for a nylon guitar .... if go for a guitar string to steel accoustic or electric guitar, the core of the string is to stiff so, nylonstring is the key it is wery easy to form in contours and so on.... but got to wait till monday lol...all the music stores are closed on sundays... a pic what im going for..... Yep... Mals Way....if not pleased do it again till pleased
  13. Big big thanks ..... they are the best.... google did not have them....onlybreal bad anglesband varous pics on resin cockpits....and i dont want to copycat from them going for my interpret
  14. Yess thats the one... got more of them pics? Also they work.... that hose.....from the oxytube...
  15. Wow thank Parabat.... that harness attachment is grreat pic.... but what im after is a pic on that oxy (i think it is) tank that ive seen on resin cockpits for models...
  16. Thanks Winenut. No it is a Hasegawa 1:32.... Now im scratching my head a bit... Shure need help, that wall beind the seat got details i know, but hard to find good pictures on that area, i would be more than happy if someone could help me with this one.... /Mal
  17. Smal details that add to the whole.... That map/book pocket with a strap (plastic card) and a button (resin decal rivet), the map (bottom cupcakeform in aluminium), also that wire on the stick in place (cupper wire), and them pedal straps (winebottle foil) /Mal
  18. Some more done..... Them MK108 covers on the fronten of the wing....Plastic tube, CA glue and bakingpowder, then Tamiyaputty disolved in acetone that goes like a surfacer, then smoothen out to right shape... Then check that they look right contour/shape....using Florys Rustwash applied with AB, jus to check..this will do just fine for me, later rescribe them panel lines .. guncam in place....plastic rod, used a drill to shapen it... /Mal
  19. Allrigt... episode extend that rear rack is done...allready primed it earlier to spot errors on that joint, it is smooth, no putty needed at all...and washed that primer of... Dryfitting it al, that wheelbay panel, rack is only dryfitted with bluetack...
  20. Yep Parabat..... Also found after googling a while...details going to be added on this one...natural evolution on them Wurgers when doing reruns .... That wire on landing gear...
  21. The glue.. The Tamiya Liquid glue, the thinnest one that disolves plastic or acetate (works the same way), let the capilary force do the job, then squeeze so it bubbles, no filler needed or wery little. Important clean glue surfaces, no paint or anything, it got to be clean, the bond will be strong, cause joint is disolved plastic and acts as a filler ...so if fuselagehalfes i always mask of the glue surfaces, i usually never use any clamps or anything when i glue, just finger squeeze, around working my way around......it bonds /Mal
  22. Allright Back in Business........ This is suitable for that back from holiday been in Croatia (Porec) and Italy (venezia) Things done...... It is the same from my previous build....but easy peasy fixin, them panel lines is not aligned if go Hasegawa Way.....1mm off on both wings.... Solution is to cut them pins away... Also them holes for MK108, ther is a covers that will be there so them holes got to be bigger.....them MKS barrels will be fitted in them covers, but later, bigger things t do before that.... Allright...Mal Way far better ....so no need to rescribe them and giving more work when not needed to, also dryfitted with the fuselage, the fit is even better than before caus that... and a close up, yes it bubbles niceley with plastic, it will be perfect filler, and not much putty will be needed at all, i don use much putty a all on my builds, try to avoid as much as possible, but some times it is nececarry.. Now that rear attachment rack...... Since the kit is a A7 it is more to the rear, but im going for a A8 so it got to be extended, since the rack itself is more to the front.....i cutted a litlte so it got a 90 degree angle much easier to glue plastic card, this will be good A pick on my FW190A8 R2 (R8) with the extended piece.... i pic that explains it all about the rack position ...... /Mal
