Red Arrows 50th Anniversary Tail fin
Paul @ Parkes682Decals replied to Rickpadwick1801's topic in Parkes682Decals
Hi All Im afraid they are copyrighted by the MOD,the general licence for these is in the order of £5000 to produce any of there artwork for commerical decals to be sold. I know someone who did enquire and was given that answer. You could wait for one of the aftermarket decal manufacturers or Kit Manufacturers to do them. Paul -

New Tool Eurocopter EC135
Paul @ Parkes682Decals replied to Caution Wake Turbulence's topic in Modern - 1969 and onwards
Hi Ive been drawing several new schemes for the EC-135,both T2 and P2 in various schemes both police and air ambulances. The probelm i can see is the new "air grilles" that are mouded just in front of the exhaust pipes. The rest of the kit is a vast improvement, but i wish they would leave the high leg sprues and the lower leg sprues in has well with so we can all build the versions we want to build. I would love Revell to do the McDonnell Douglas MD-902 Explorer in 1:32 scale there are some lovely colour schemes out there. Paul Parkes682Decals- 66 replies

Hi All Here's some Mirage 3C Decals ive just drawn up for a Britmodeller in 1:32 scale These are most of the markings that were asked for apart from the stencils and other markings. The Revell roundels were out of register so new ones were made. Complete with "white" inkjet roundels to help the coloured ones stand out on a Silver finish Well, have a look at the photos. Paul

Hi All Here's some new replacement decals for the Airfix Cherokee Arrow 2 in 1:72 scale. These where done for a modeller who tried to use the old Airfix ones. They broke up while trying to apply them. Have a look. The top one is the old Airfix decal The bottom one is the new decals on paper version and the newer style of lettering Notice the colour difference due to the age of the decal and the carrier film yellowing.

3D Printers for modelling parts
Paul @ Parkes682Decals replied to Paul @ Parkes682Decals's topic in Other Tools
Hi I know to my cost with developing my "white" inkjet printer, the printer cost me £30 the "white" ink a lot more. The JPNL inks i use are getting expensive to do colour, the "white" is 6 times the cost of a colour refill. Paul -

3D Printers for modelling parts
Paul @ Parkes682Decals replied to Paul @ Parkes682Decals's topic in Other Tools
I think it will have a dramatic effect on our hobby has more people put 3D Drawings for models on the net. At the moment some are free to download. The thing that worries me that Gun Modellers are making repilca firearms and they work with "Live" ammo have a look on you tube there is a guy with a ATR-15 Semi Automatic that fires 600 rounds before it breaks the plastic working parts. It has a double sword good and bad,its the bad guys that will limit it capabilitys for us modellers I would buy one,i would use it to produce parts for cockpits, ejection seats, interiors of helicopters well the sky's the limit. Hi All You may have read in the newspapers and on the net about a new low cost 3D Printer that Curry's/PC World are selling. They have gone on sale for less than £1,200 its called the Cube. This is going to revolutionise the model market to such a degree that we will be able to make anything that we need. This 3D Printer links to a normal PC by wireless, you will need to know a lot about 3D graphics to draw up what you need to be made There are several 3D Graphic software out there,i would use Autocad 2007 it has the software attached to draw up what you need. What would you use yours for if you had one ? Paul Parkes682Decals

VC-10 Decals 1:144 scale
Paul @ Parkes682Decals replied to Paul @ Parkes682Decals's topic in Parkes682Decals
Hi I haven't drawn them up yet as i have not had anybody ask for them, also i dont know what they look like ? I did these 1:144 scale ones as i had several people ask me for replacements as there old ones as you can see are yellowed and cracked and will break up as they go into water. Paul -
Hi The crow had to be completely redrawn, the airfix one is in the wrong colours and out of register. It took a few hours to get it right, working of a photo copy of the orginial photo. It looks massive on the screen, then i had to reduce it down to size to fit where it goes on the tail. The crosses are quite simple to draw and print. Getting the lettering and the inlay red for the white and red,and then seperating them for the "White" inkjet printing. Its a pity there is not much 1:24th scale decals out there for the Me 109 and Hurricane. Paul

Hi All Here's some 1:24th Me109E Decals ive just done for a modeller who wanted something different from the decals in the Airfix Kit. The pictures show the decals some are printed on to clear and some a "white" inkjet on clear. The whiping bird has a white background inkjet decal just to show up the white area's on the decal. Then the coloured ones on top. The same with the swasitka's for the tale The black "6" has a white inkjet edge all around the black "6". The "achtung anfanger" has white with red inlay " attention beginners" The white crosses made from white decal sheet with the crosses marked out to cut out and applied first with the black crosses on top. printed on to clear decal. The modeller commented "there's not much 1:24th scale out there" Paul
