  2. Hi All

The Tiger finally get's it's strips, well in test shot form printing of decals follows shortly.

These are only test shots and the decals come out razor sharp, getting them to look correct was the probelm as there are not many photo's around.

Well have a look on the website www.parkes682decals.piczo.com

Also got some DC-3 decals to go on when the ink has dried on the decal film, and a new Antonov An2 has well in Canadian Markings.

  3. Hi Paul, not sure if that would work, as Heidi has an Airbus, but not that particular Revell kit, so do you reckon she might still get away with it? Oh soz about the CAPS, her lappy got stuck

    Bex

    Hi Bex

Just tell them that there was no decals in the kit only the instructions can they help

The kit number is 04251 Airbus A321 "Austrian Airlines - Millennium" they are generally very helpful to there customers.Ive used them in the past, give it a try nothing to loose.

  4. Did a test this evening on one of the spare decals on a spare (read: scrap) kit. So far not too promising... the decal itself seems very soft (softer than I remember Xtradecal/Microscale decals ever being), and the little bits of glassine held on very strongly even after soaking. I've forced myself to stop checking the thing... I think I'll leave it until tomorrow to see if there are any bits left and if there are, I'll see if I can pick them off.

    Hey ho... :undecided:

    Hi John

I might have a spare set of these decals there's a snag ive got to go through 18 A4 folders to find them.

  7. Hi All

Ive just added the numbers and the 11 Flottille badge to my page on Arctic Tigers 2007 on my website, the badge had to be drawn from scratch. The Tiger strips will be ready some time in the week. Most of the other markings are included in the Airfix kit.The only probelm is you will need to get a spare fuel tank for the other wing.I here Alistar AtoZ is making them as a resin so thats were you will need to go to get one.

    More updates to follow.

  9. Wierd Bloke...

    Hi Mish

Yes our eyesight does get worse as we get older, mine included im 50 next month and just started wearing glasses (1.25) for modelling. But on the serious side you will get a far better finish with an airbrush some advice put very thin coats on and dont rush it put a coat of paint on and let it dry.You will get the standard up very quick indeed and use Maskol its really good for masking, and try trim film for round the cockpit canopys.Trim Film is a decal you cut out you can get a razor sharp edge around canopy's.You can even airbrush the clear version to the required colour and put that on.You get it from Hannants Code no MSTF-0 But they do range of colours if you get stuck give me an email

  14. That's exactly what I am looking for! Any chance of getting a set? I don't suppose you can do the white serial number and name too?

    Hi

All i did for him was the bits i said, doing the serial numbers in white you have to print on white decal with a grey border around the serial numbers and get a perfect match

    Paul
