  1. Hi All

Here's my lastest creation with my very own Parkes682Decals,a Bell -Boeing V-22 Osprey prototype no2.

The kit is Italeri with a few modifications here and there, like radar dome, pitot tube the model is finished in

overall gloss white with red/qrange tail and nose section. The decals then where applied mostly printed on to

clear decal including the black straight lines all drawn together.

    Hope you enjoy

    Hi

All of the drawings were done in 1:32 and some in 1:48th there on file on my many memory sticks,he wanted for a F-4J mainly badges and writing similar to the Yellowhammer sheet.Which are hard to get hold of,it depends on what he wants.

  7. Hi Paul,

I have been given your details by Dave T in the hope that you can help me - although listening to other members I'm sure you can!

What I am after is a set of SR-71 decals in 1/72 scale but, I need them with all the low-visibility markings (small red tail serial & emergency rescue information beside the cockpit).

I have two 1/72 scale kits (produced by Italieri) fully built but, I want to finish them in the markings that they wore when they finished their service life with the USAF. I am sure you must be aware of the decals that Italieri include with the kit - which is fine if you want them in the 1960's Vietnam era with 'us air force' & 'usaf' in white plastered all over the aircraft!

How much would it cost to produce two decal sheets to these requirements? Also, could you include the serials for all the aircraft so I can have a choice of which ones to do?

I await your reply as if this can be done, it will be the end of a very long search!

    Regards

    Hi there

  8. Hi Paul, just wondering if you got my email regarding decals for a couple of prototype OH-6 helicopters and the Bell Jet Ranger from the James Bond movie " For Your Eyes Only". Thanks.

    Liam.

    Hi Liam

I have sent you an email, yes no probelms

    Paul

  9. Thanks Paul,

It sounds like this might be quite a lot of work. I'm taking a guess that your decals will be Alps printed too. I work in computer imagery and would be quite happy to go to the trouble of making the artwork for a whole series of these but I'd rather they be the traditional screen printed variety if that is the case.

Something for me to think about,

    Simon

    Hi Simon

My decals are not printed on a Alps printer, they are printed on a Epson 3850 series, well two of them one is a normal one using off the shelf cartridges and the other has been "rigged" to do decals. Its had its software altered, and the cartridges are JPNL 3850 series cartridges. These cartridges are normal but a thicker ink and a better quality has been loaded into the cartridge.Hence "rigged" cartridges that's how i do it,the one does the artwork in paper form then i transfer it over to the other one to do the decals on clear or white decal.Hope this sort's out how i do it.

  10. Thanks Paul,

You possibly know this by now but I've sent over a highish resolution scan (only 0.25mb though). Further to the email it just looks as if the manufacturer printed this on low quality or else their printer (Alps?) was not up to printing solid patches of the particular colours they decided on.

I started some decal artwork of my own for this model ages ago but figured I'd purchase this sheet before going to the trouble of getting mine printed. Mine could do with some work in any case :)

    Hi Simon

This reminds me of a decal sheet that i did for a friend of mine George Wright,he bought a sheet for a P-51 in air racing colours and the numbers "49" where very grainy the same as your decal sheet that you email me.

I had to completely redraw it for him,the badge in blue with a winged bird looks arwful.

The decal sheet is copyrighted so i would have to do the same as i did for George, and that is very costly redrawing it.Some of it would need to be printed on to clear and the rest on white decal.
