  1. They're worth something? Wow, I've got one of these and loads of inks. I'd better do some research as to their value on evilbay. Might still be able to fund some of my hidden desires!!!

    Hi

When i was researching on Ebay i come across a set of White cartridges for a Alps 5000 series they are normally £19 a cartridge and the person had got 10 in a box/carton and they were going for £1500 with a hour to go,so i dont know how much they went for but they were brand new ones.

I get several emails a week from modellers who have used and are just about using there Alps printers on there last legs.

They have shown a lot of interest in the "White" inkjet.

  2. Hi All

The white ink i cannot talk about seriously.

The Gold and Silver inks i can talk about with no restrictions.

The Gold and Silver inks are from the same 2 chemists that developed the white ink.

This is a private venture between me and them.

I will tell you how far we have got,and our plans for the future.

The Gold and Silver are being developed/used on a Canon "Off the Shelf" printer so that we can just use the black cartridge only for printing.

    This has some advantages.

    1) Gold printing can be used on its own.

    2) Silver printing can be used on it own.

    3) Metallic printing such adding colours to the printing process we can make "Burnt" metal effects such panels on aircraft and other effects.

    4) Starting with Metallic colours we can shade them to cover the colour spectrum with this metallic effect.

There are some other effects that we are looking at but we are keeping them for the time being on the back burner,so to speak.

When we developed the "White" Inkjet it took us into an area that only Alps printers could go,they can also print Silver and Gold.

As Alps printers have gone and the supplies of there type of inks are drying up so to speak and becoming harder to find and the price of these have rocketed

I wanted to produce a "white" inkjet so could make my own decals and be avaiable to the general modelling community.

    There are restrictions to this.

This technogly is "Cutting Edge" and took 3 years of testing and developing.

The Gold and Silver hopefully will take less than that, and be avaiable to us all in time to make our own decals.

The Canon software allows to use just one cartridge,so this like the "white" can only print Gold or Silver at one time.

Adding the Colours takes us into "New and Exciting" Area that i and my two chemists friends are finding and is mind blowing to what you can do with a printer.

As we develop this we will announce it,its opens a whole new area..

Your questions are welcomed, there is a lot of fine adjustments at the moment.

    But,we are getting there

  3. Hi

I am really interested in the white ink for the Epson printer. How are things progressing with it, and it is available to buy.

    Any help appreciated.

    Hi

Im afraid the MOD will not let us proceed with the white ink, however we are working on a Silver and Gold ink for a cannon printer but thats about 18 months down the line.

I still make "white" inkjet decals to order.

  4. Hi Paul,

your 'system' is really coming along well.

Will you ever be producing white ink cartridges for sale, or will it just be decals produced to order only?

    cheers

    Mike

    Hi Mike

Due to MOD rules and restrictions i cannot put this on sale but that only applies to the "white" ink im working on Silver and Gold ink to work on a Cannon printer.

Im hoping to have the silver and gold inks up and running this year.

I can only use "white" for making decals not for sale to the general public.

Yes i can make decals for you.

  5. Hi All

Here's how custom decals start the process of being made.

Here's the project A-10C Thunderbolt II better known has the "Warthog".

Custom decals are needed by a modeller who wants the following nose decal in 1:48th scale

    a10wathog1001.jpg

Its from a A-10C from the 188th Fighter Wing,Arkanas Air National Guard.

It all starts with a "free hand" drawing of the artwork, then breaking it down ready for "white" inkjet and black inkjet to be printed.

I will be posting further photos of the process when i have got the next stage done.

  6. Hi All

Here's some of my "White"inkjet decals on a Scania "Easymix" Truck by Ian Williams.

The truck apart from the cab is totally scratchbuilt.

Ian Williams asked me to produce a set of 28 decals for this truck, mostly "white" inkjet decals on clear decal film.

Have a good look at the truck and decals the truck is in 1:24th scale.

Some of the decals are coloured to go on the white cab,and a lot of safety markings as well were made as decals.
