  1. I stand corrected on the trailing edge stripe under the wings, It looks like the thicker stripe can in about 1988 looking at the photos again, but I still think that they had the CFS badges, RAF titles and Union jack flag from the start?, I'm making a Red Arrow from about 1980 to 1984 when they were based at Kemble at the moment, so i'm glad this topic has come up otherwise i may have miss the detail under the wing, but they had the CFS badges, RAF titles and Union jack flag in the period that i'm making mine.
  2. I don't what to burst your bubble, But if you look on www.airliners.net/Red Arrows 1980's you will see that they have all the said above.
  3. There all in the the Revell kit of the Red Arrows with the year 2000 markings on, if you don't use the year 2000 markings you can make anyone from 1980 to 2003 because it's was all the same scheme.

  8. Checking my own charts and Tamiya does not seem to do these colours directly but All A-4's and almost any aircraft from 1967 used this scheme in the Israeli air force. Upper. FS30219 Humbrol 119 Tan, Xtracolor X102 Vietnam Tan, FS34227 Humbrol 120 Green, Xtracolor X148 Israeli Green, FS33531 Humbrol 121 Sand, Xtracolor X105 Sand, Underside. FS35622 Humbrol 122 Pale Blue, Xtracolor X149 Israeli Pale Blue, (note that 122 has been deleted). Also note that as well as the F-16's and the F-15I's the Kfir C.7 had the same colour scheme. Hope this helps Ian

  12. I’ll like to clear up little problem with the F-16C/D Block designation. Block 40/42 is unofficially known as F-16CG/DG and is LANTIRN capable but the USAF wanted to call them F-16G, but Congress wouldn't approve a "new" aircraft, which was politically seen as a threat to the F-22. Block 50/52 is unofficially known as F-16CJ/DJ and is HARM capable and it was for the same reason as the Block 40/42 was unofficial designation. So an F-16C/D is just an F-16C/D in what ever Block it’s in, apart from the engines of course. I hope is helps to clear things up. If you like take a look at F-16.net it’s all on that web site. Ian

  22. I was looking at your model of the Mirage 2000C which looks very nice,But No.77 is in fact a Mirage 2000-5F which has two squared off ECM pods, where the lower rear fuselage cerves around to the jet pipe, and the -5F does not have a pitot tube. Ian
