  1. Thank you very much! Thank you. Yes, you re right, you have "falcon eyes". I didn t knew that detail...someone has pointed exacly that issue on FB (i think)...It was something that i really wasn t aware, so thank you for the "heads up", i try to remember it on a next build so i wont do the same mistake! Modeling is a constant learning process to me.! Thanks you very much!
  2. Thank you...Yes, i know that eventually i ll do another version of the BF110 with the "wespe" markings !!! Thanks very much
  3. Thank you very much! Don t know about the airfix one, but this is a great model (best i ve build so far)...with nice PEs, and mask for the canopy and tyres.
  4. Thank you Stefan. I see what you re saying... I made the base as an experience/learning workshop, so i didn t had the figure by then... I though it could work as a nice scenery for a coming "back of mission" ideia, but i see your point, if the tree was higher it would fit better and would give it a better sense of height for the whole set. Definitely its something to watch out and be more aware... Thank you!
  5. Thank you ! I Love the "wespen" markings...i think eventually i ll build another one in other color... Thank you very much!
  6. Muito Obrigado! Thank you ! It the best way to keep learning! I also love the winter camos...I’m starting my winter camo Air Force... Thank you! Thank you! Go for it...it’s truly a great model by Eduard. The oob goodies are great! Thank you very much!
  7. Yes understand what you mean...I tried with a black paper I had in the house but it didn’t work...it wasn’t black enough and was ful of shadows. I have to buy a “darker” black cardboard or a piece of cloth. Thanks for the words!
  8. Hi fellow modeleres It took me a long time to finish this...completly my fault (got tangled in other issues). This was the best model i ve built so far...great work from eduard! it didn t came out exaclty as i though, but its a constant learning process! Say what you think! Regards, João Mendes
  9. Hi fellow modellers Last "adventure" in the world of figures... <SPAM LINK REMOVED> Still a lot to learn...but with pacience and practice...it will get better! João Mendes
  10. Thank you very much ! Thank you,FrancisGL After the first coats of paint i was thinking that it was getting a bit dark...and in the end is darker that i wanted. With the light oils and pigments it got better and i m happy with the final result. Thank you very much!
  11. Thank you all ! I really like to leave a figure or two on a build...i think it gives a nice "reference" to the size of these machines! Thanks for the kind words !
  12. Hi all, Here are the photos of the model finished.
  13. Hi fellow modelers, This is my last build. The Jagdpanzer V Ausf. F (early) - Revell 1:35, not a bad kit in my opinion...but its a bit old. The figures are from Alpine and Dragon. Took me long time to finish because of the plastic link by link tracks. The Kit didn t have the sideskirts, they were made from a sheet of copper, with the help from fellow modelers from Britmodeller, especially JackG. Thank you guys ! Thanks you.
  14. Hello everybody, After asking for help, and received a lot of quick and helpful responses...i thought that putting here the "result" would be the minimum i could do... I used the plans that JackG left here and used a bit of copper plate that i have for some small scratch work on the models. Then used some evergreene plastic for the rivets, and some staples (cut and bend it). Its far from perfect but i thing it works, and i think the lack of "perfection" gives it a natural look...(or i just want to think). I think i m still going to "beat" the plates a bit, make some holes...some heavy scratches...maybe cut some bits off... Thanks again to all ! When the Jag its finish i ll put the photos here...
  15. Thank you very much for your trouble. Silly me...i din t search in the clear sprues...just took a look on the grey ones. You re right there the A nose on the clear (a bit matt)... so no need for sanding. The doors are the A version, so i will only have an issue on the B version (some glueing and sawing to do). So...all set to go, i just have to see the decals available, and see if the plane had the turret or not (for the decals)... Absolutely right..."mea culpa"... doing math by "eyeballing it" is never the best way...🤨 Thank you all ! Another save by the brilliant Britmodeller community!
  16. Thank you all for the big help ! - "the P-61A nose was 8" shorter than the P-61B nose" - That seem manageable, just sanding the nose (by the junction) about 1 mm. - Regarding the wheel well : upload images without account This is what you are talking, right? Open the "green part", close the "red part" .But you re right...its only going to be an issue in the P-61B...both P-61B Models from Dragon have the full open doors that the A version has. - The turret depends of the decals, that depend of the plane i want to build...Off to the "decals underworld..." !!! Thank you very much for the quick responses and help!
  17. Hello fellow modelers. I recently acquired the Dragon 1/72 P-61B Lady of the Dark...i already have the P-61B Black Widow Premium edition but simply i could nt resist such a beautiful plane... Now i m wondering what are the diferences between the P-61B to the P-61A? I cant "see" a noticeable difference in these versions...so i was thinking about buying the decals and build a P-61A and a P-61B Black Widow Premium. Its just a matter of paint scheme and decals?or Is there a conversion set...or is it possible to "scratch convert" the B version to a A. Thanks in advance!
  18. Thank you all very much for the good advices. The thin aluminium from a beer can is a good idea to try, and i have a sheet of copper than i want to try also...i ll see what goes better with the scale. I think i m going to pass the zimmerit...i know it probably is more historical accurate, but i think i m going to look the other way... Thank you
  19. Thank you very much Jack. The modelling world camaraderie never ceases do amaze me! The diagrams are perfect to understand and build some plates. And i can have a solid base to support my build in your topic! You are right the Revell Jagdpanzer is a rebox of the old DML kit, so i m sure it will have a lot in common with yours. Thank you!! Regards, João Mendes
  20. Thank you very much for the quick and assertive response You clarified my doubts regarding this model.... I think i will try to create the some plates, similar as you did, on your excellent model...as i will be using your work as reference (i really like your model), but i m going to pass the zimmerit for now. I would be grateful if you could post the dimensions, when you have the time....Thank you very much in advance! Thanks again! Regards, João Mendes
  21. Hello fellow modelers, I recently acquired the old Revell 1/35 Jagdpanzer IV (Sd.Kfz.162) Ausf. F (früh) - Nr. 03024 at a very good price (15€), and I'm thinking about starting to build it right away. Opening the box I saw that it doesn't have the sideskirts that many Jagdpanzers had. It even include the supports for the plates, but no plates to be seen in the kit. They're not missing in the box, it's a feature of the kit... Were this type of Jagdpanzers not suitable for sideskirts (strange because of the supports), or was it a rare event? Can somebody tell me the size of the skirts in scale (or the real ones) to try to replicate some plates in plasticard? It also have a muzzle break as optional...to all versions of the kit. Is it simple a question of option/taste or was it assigned to a specific type. The kit is this one ; https://www.scalemates.com/kits/154700-revell-03024-jagdpanzer-iv-sd-kfz-162 Thank you for any help you can give. Regards, João Mendes
