I returned to the hobby in 2011 when one of my (5) kids bought me the Revell Dambuster kit.

Since then I tried to stick to 1/72 , but the 1/48 Airfix Spit & Hurricane are swaying me towards the dark side.

Ss well as all the kits my friends and family buy for me, I try to buy kits of aircraft that I have taken photographs of at airshows. I couldn't come up with a better way of deciding what kits to buy - I still have the Vulcan to go for, the entire BBMF & six more red hawks.

I am lucky enough to have a log cabin in the garden where I can play with the trains & hang the planes from the ceiling.

The railway is n-gauge & has recently been converted to DCC using a Hornby elink. Based vaguely on Southern region around 1960, target is to complete all the scenery by the end of 2017.
