  1. Thinking of starting another build. But not certain what. Choices are AiP Thunderbird 3, Bandai Star Wars Tie Interceptor, or Bandai B-wing.
  2. Interesting project. I wonder if you could use as template for a plasti card version
  3. Hi Guys. Work continues on the Landfortress. Roll cage sections have been sprayed Metal Color Dark Aluminium. Wheel hubs hand painted with Metal Color Dull Aluminium Colour combo for the main body. Citidel Colour, Corax White and Trollslayer Orange The outer layer of blocks are going to be another colour, but still deciding what. Need some inspiration, and advice welcome. Finally, my tray of bits I'm working on. Glass, ball turrets, etc. Another thing with Warhammer kits, as they are wargame based, there is normally masses of weapon options to choose, and a good selection of greebly bits left after construction. Well, work continues for today, as off to work tomorrow. Hoping to get to a nice point in the build, as will be gone for 5 weeks. Cheers for looking Paul
  4. I use them straight from the bottle, I think they are meant to be used that way.
  5. I use Vallejo Metal Color all the time. Good for brush work, and a fair range of options.
  6. Watching with interest. I’ve got a few full internal tank kits, that I’ll probably never build, and a couple of panthers with both clear and solid hull uppers. mmm, getting ideas now
  7. Will look impressive when built up. love the little buses
  8. Can you spray Mr Metal Color? I’ve only really used them for dry brushing, and the few attempts brush painting have given a nice shine, but erratic texture/brush marks. Might be me applying incorrectly
  9. Hi Guys. Well yesterdays paint was a mixed bag. The dusty white is OK, as a base for more work. But the Orange (Model Color German Orange) as seen on left, was nothing like what I was looking for. Luckily, a local shop sells Citadel Colour paints, so after a quick visit, I managed to get something more to my liking. So the right panel shows the Trollslayer Orange (wargamers and their strange names), which is alot brighter. So over painted the required panels, and as I type, heres the present look. I'll be carrying on today, so see you soon Paul
  10. Just a Quicky. Primed in Citadal Colour Chaos Black. Wheels, Cockpit, and Roll cage segments, were a dry fit. Started working on Cockpit and paint, but I'll post up about that tomorrow, as not certain about my choices yet. So, it may be changed. Cheers for looking Paul
  11. Just watch out with some of their kits. Some are full Resin, which can be a handful
  12. Good Morning, First morning of a group build, so a bit like Xmas as a Kid. First job was getting the wheels built up. nothing to taxing to start with. Detail looks good on the hubs, the joint between the tyres gives a nice large contact patch for glueing together. As you can see, the joint for the wheels to attach to the axle, is chunky for a strong connection. These Kits are designed for war gaming, not static display cases. Next up was the chassis, Again, solid item and good detail. Body sides are Identical. There's a plate on the right of the picture (with the suspension unit) which needed a clamp across the bottom while the glue dried, but nothing to worry about. Although I filled the slight gap, you really don't need to. Then it's attached to the chassis base, with front and rear frames. Lid was added, as well as the doors. Forgot to photo the inside of the doors, as they are detailed nicely, but there's no internal detail as it comes OOB. The external metal frames were built up and fit well. The location points have hexagonal connectors, so a nice positive fit. I did snip off a small amount so the joins butt up nicely. Here's the shell made up so far There's 3 sections of external frame, all are a good fit, but I've left them off to paint. And allows better access for detail painting. That's the first 42 parts sorted. I'm always impressed by the Warhammer plastic kits. Fit is good, and detail crisply moulded. They are moulded in chunky plastic, but ruggedness is needed for there intended purpose. They can be expensive (£75 for this one), but there are some interesting subjects. Have a look at the Valkyrie I also have partly finished, as a example Anyway, better crack on. Primer will be out, and see what else I'll get done today Cheers for looking Paul
  13. Good to hear, been itching to start. But avoided the temptation. Unfortunately, I'm off on tuesday for a 5 week work rotation, but hoping to get plenty done before leaving. Paul
  14. Would the exhaust paint be why the paint scheme, on the box, show exhausts being a "dirty Orange" colour?
  15. INCOM T-65 X-Wing Starfighter It's on display at Wings over the Rockies Museum, Denver , Colorado. also has a Pod Racer. Nice place to visit if in the Area.
  16. Here you are. wish I'd remembered this GB, and would have got more
  17. Looks great. Out of interest, what's the rough dimensions?
  18. The actual pod racer is on display at Wings over the Rockies Aerospace museum. I've just visited during a holiday, and think I have a few photo's if interested.
  19. Hi Guys. I've umm'd and Ah'd over what to build for this GB, But while wandering around Forgeworld in Nottingham, I stumbled across this one and thought it would make a good candidate. I'm a big fan of the warhammer kits, they are expensive, but they are well engineered and are a nice size. I think the scale works out around 1/56 if interested. I've picked this because it's not emblazoned with skulls, etc, and I'm planning on a future Moon/Mars expedition Vibe. Not a massive amount of Plastic, but solidly constructed, as designed for tabletop gaming. Decals give plenty of options Instructions are standard Warhammer design I'll also try a base and if time a Flying vehicle to go with it. Cheers for Organizing this one. And thanks for looking Paul
  20. I think I may wait for a desert scheme before getting another. I've started mine. So far everything is good. But the clean up of parts is very stressful, as there are interesting placements on some pieces.
  21. Brand new set of MENG nippers ready and waiting. thinking of getting some brass cannons, as they are so prominent paul
  22. Just purchased this. Watching with interest, as I;m not the best with aircraft modelling. Cheers Paul
  23. I'll find the relevent instruction page and post it up Mig😉
  24. Hi guys. Well heres my entry. A bit different from the normal manufactures. No Idea what it's gonna turn out like, but I'll give it my best shot. Box Art Sturdy box, and a the rear shows the paints required. Plastic and PE. Has a bend in it from packing on top of other sprues, but is recoverable. All looks good. I'll make a start over the next few days, and post up some instruction shots as I go Cheers for looking Paul
