  1. I have one of them there kits but mine looks nothing like yours, it is a test mule for paints and decals and you are right, it is a stinker which is why mine ended up as it did. Yours however is a testament to what can be achieved with such a kit, you have a great finished model from a pile of almost unbuild-able bits, well done.
  2. Just don't let the 'young uns' name them or we will end up with; Like Glasgow, Like Belfast and so on. Oh the thought of it....
  3. Superb Russ....you are arf knocking em out, how do you do it?
  4. None to shabby that, I did not even realise there was such an idea/airframe. You live 'n' learn.
  5. Beware though, I know it is tempting but as far as I know an oven extractor is not compliant with flammable gases and if the lecy bits are not shielded then a spark may ignite the very gases and overspray you are trying to remove and that is not a nice thought. I too have a 300DS and I know it is not cheap but I did not want fumes around the house affecting everyone else and I most certainly did not want unwanted ignition of gases and other flammables in my room, of which there are many. They are worth every penny and then some. All the best Gary
  6. But Junglierating, we will have 2 new carriers that can replace HMS Ocean, Bulwark,Albion and these 2 new shiny helicopter carriers aircraft carriers can land several hundred Royal Marines with equipment and launch lots of helo's in support of humanitarian disasters at the same time as fighting a blue water war and under going refit/maintainance , we wiil, I assure you not loose any capability or flexibilty what soever. They are not really carriers but 2 new TARDIS machines that can be in many places at one.......but don't tell anyone !
  7. Yes John, as ever true professionalism and coolness of thought from the crew. It looks like a relatively clean break with no ensuing fire which if that was the case may have been a piece of good luck.
  8. Yep, I need a 'joint' to make sense of what I am looking at! Very original.
  9. Wow, superb shots, what set up did you use(camera/lens etc)?
  10. Very crisp and smart, I love it. Well done.
  11. They( Biggin Hill Battle of Britain Supporters Club) propose a similar idea but more in keeping with the original and not requiring the chapel to close with better facilities at a lower cost which I cannot understand why those officials at the meeting felt they had to act as they did, all they had to do was listen.
  12. The fight for St George's Chapel Biggin Hill is being lost. I have just received this e mail and to be frank it is making my bloody blood boil and it stinks If you feel the same please respond accordingly and if I have upset the mods take a pound of my flesh. Thanks Gary Last night we were were denied asking on your behalf our pre-booked oral questions at a Full Council Meeting of London Borough of Bromley. The newly appointed Deputy Leader deviously 'filibustered' us, by waffling on and using up all the available time responding to questions on another matter. The Leader of the Council and the Chief Executive appeared to be complicit in this manoeuvre, making no attempt to curb his ramblings. One of the important issues we were to raise was whether it was morally correct that Heritage Lottery money should be used to demolish part of the Listed Chapel. The Council have been granted nearly £2M of Heritage Lottery money for this divisive scheme. If you think that this is wrong, as I do, will you please email the Head of the Heritage Lottery Fund, Stuart Hobley, and copy in the Leader of the Council, and his Chief Executive. Just a sentence or two and if you don't get a reply, please send it again. Their email addresses are: [email protected] [email protected] [email protected] Scaffolding was erected yesterday around the Vestry and stripping out of the interior has started today, despite the Local Government Ombudsman not having received the information he requested from the Council to start his investigation into their planning procedures!! So sorry to bring such bad news, but please do email the people above to show your disapproval. 13. From a 3rd year returnee, welcome. The last time before 2014/15 when I had my hands on a kit I was 12 and they cost about 50p......oooooh, if only I could go back.
  14. Ah, that's it, we know who you are now Welcome to a great forum.
  15. Hello from flat Lincolnshire, yep, we are a happy lot but being a little mad helps considerably. Do not forget either, you can ask us questions too.
  16. Great work and a fine build. I too have built this kit and it is up there with the best of them.
  17. Nice but don't we build all our models for fun? A little more info would be nice Paulo....how did you find the kit to build or paints used as the paint job looks very good. Cheers Gary
  18. Do I take it that the new website is up and running because none of the links work for me and a web search does not show the right results. Probably me but worth asking. Cheers.
  19. Now you don't see many of them flying around, nice thought, I did wonder where it was going with the Tempest and Lightning together.
  20. There is nothing negative to say about your build, sharp, clean , well weathered and the in flight pose works very well with a simple well made base Great work gary
  21. Very nice and a super smooth finish to your paint scheme. Cheers Gary
  22. Thanks John They are certainly worth the investment if you plane to build several kits of a certain type, I will have to nip up to Newark Air Museum when they next have a jumble which I believe is soon. Gary
